Subject: is anyone brycing??

erosiaart ( ) posted Tue, 28 April 2009 at 2:59 AM · edited Wed, 11 December 2024 at 11:07 PM

or am i the only one out here not seeing anyone brycing coz it's 43 deg Cel here and getting hotter day by day that even the sound of the laptop sounds like a roaring furnace?? maybe my eyes are blinded by the sun's heat and i'm too into thinking what's wrong with the ceiling fans coz it's giving off hot air and even the air con seems to have gone on a slow..

brycers,...where are we?

Morning Rosie! Morning because it’s 4:26 AM here in NYC. I’m getting ready to hit the sack but didn’t want to just leave you here hanging since I just looked in to see if anything new was up. It’s getting warm here too Rosie. It’s been up in the 80’s F around here. That to me is teetering on too warm for me. Ang25 just soaks this stuff up…she loves it. Not me! Well, I’m off…hope you get a nice cool breeze coming your way to provide some comfort. Later….

Quest, you're in NYC????? What are you doing way out there, bro! I'm in NYC too! At the moment, I sitting in front of a window fan, typing this . It's a nice cool morning. Tomorrow it will be down to a reasonable temperature in the upper 60's.. Sorry eroisaart, I sympathize with you. Summer is coming to these part soon and I dread the sky high electric bill, I'll be getting soon.

Hi Rosie,
I'm heading off to work right now. I don't ever have time to Bryce anymore
Take care and I hope it cools down some for you. It's cooling down here to the 70's and 60's later this week.

Hay TS, how about that! I’m in the Glendale area of Queens. I’m originally from Brooklyn. You weren’t around when we had that Bryce get together here about 5 years ago? We all met at the Museum of Natural History and made a day of it. Where abouts are you? Yes, I’m glad it’s cooling down. I just heard on the news that we might get some rain when the cool front comes in tonight.

Rosie, I just can’t take humid and especially humid and hot weather…just kills me. So I can certainly understand your ordeal. What’s 43 Celsius in Fahrenheit?  Oh jeeze….it’s 109.4!  Would have to flip me over to cook on the other side. Yep, Ang mentioned Facebook to me when we spoke on the phone last Friday.

Oh man Pakled, sorry to hear that! Sounds like you got scorched by the economy. You won’t be job hunting all of the time so you might get some Bryce time in. I wish you all the luck in the world finding a comparable job in today’s market. No easy feat indeed.

Well I'm truly glad some folks have something verging on nice weather...here, this morning, I spotted a dozen prairie crocus in my gargen with their lovely purple flowers just a glowing so that's my real first sigh of better stuff to come....then the radio tells me it could snow? again!...wassup with this 'Global Warming" anyhoo...coldest and longest winter I remember in my 60 years here.. ...

Been wondering that myself, now for quite a few months time, Rosie.  A year ago there usually were 68 - 70 pages of Bryce renders on a daily basis and noticed last evening it's down to 49.  What has happened to all of the other Brycers?  I think we're losing quite a bit of them 'round here.

sackrat ( ) posted Tue, 28 April 2009 at 11:08 AM

Y'all are getting soft. It was 94 degrees here in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia yesterday If y'all are in the area or just wanna take a short trip,.......this weekend is the Winchester Apple Blossom Festival. It's beautiful up here, and yes, the apple trees are blossoming. There's lots of them up here too.. So, y'all come on down now, ya hear.

I am in the Baychester area of the Bronx. 5 years ago???? LOL I wasn't even into Brycing as I am now... I was going to school to learn Digital Media Communication. That got me started in 3D Max which then lead me into web designing and then to  Bryce. (A long story, don't even ask! )

I welcome the rain, it will at least water the new grass seeds that i just put down. I just hope it doesn't turn into a mini flood and wash all those seeds down the proverbial and literal drain.

Are there any more Brycing  NYC'ers still in the area? We ought to meet like those Users Group of yon...

Hey neighbor!  I'm in Forest Hills.  I went to Jr. High school in Glendale, though that was more years ago than I really want to remember, if you get my drift.

I haven't been active in the R'osity forums in years, and my desktop is under the weather, so until I can build me a new one, I won't be doing much Brycing.  Only 3D software I have here on my laptop is Blender and DAZ Studio.  Don't want to load this up with a lot of apps, so I'm cooling it with Bryce, Poser and the like at the moment.

Spring, yes spring not summer, has only just started here in Helsinki!! It was a quite nice 15 or so celsius today!! Bobbystahr, I sympathise man, the snow only melted a couple of weeks ago here. Actually theres a couple of those small piles the snowploughs make still hanging in there!! The good thing about finland is that spring seems to last about a month and all the vegetation grows like crazy, its like you can see everything growing on some kind of time-lapse camera! Days are getting longer too, its nice to not go to and come from work in the dark! Cant wait till summer time, sun sets around 11pm and comes up again about 3 am, its great!
As for Brycers....hmm...it is getting a bit thin round here recently, luckily those of us of The True Religion are staying the course and not getting tempted by heretical..er..something...lost my train of thought now.
Btw, im not actually Finnish(phew) although my wife is(but I dont hold that against her, lol)

bobbystahr ( ) posted Tue, 28 April 2009 at 4:08 PM

LOL Lown...I have an Imagine3D mate over there up near Lapland [is it still called that], and he's from UK, but his wifey is Finnish so guess where he lives....I well recall the moves made when I was married, heh heh heh. Today I spotted about a dozen prairie crocus growing up from the detritus of my former, and soon to be again, flower garden..Spring...well maybe...Summer's still a long way off and way too short at these upper latitudes.. ..

TS, I’m sure there are. On that first trip we had Miden who came with his girlfriend; we (Ang25 and I) believe it was from Maryland. Sackrat was suppose to come but couldn’t make it from Virginia (I think). We had Boomer from New Jersey. Mad Max who came from California but at the time he was attending New York University. And finally Ang25 from Ithaca New York and myself.

Big shout out to my neighbor a stone’s throw away from Forest Hills…Hi Miss B! Didn't they tear that High School down 30 years ago? j/k! Believe me, I do get your drift.

Yeah Bobby there was talk here to build a big wall at the U.S./Canadian border…supposedly to keep the cold air out. :b_funny:

Yes, it’s 3:15 in the AM here and it’s cooled down considerably…no rain yet tho.
