What is the best way to import your Poser figures into Bryce/

Load the scene in either Poser or Daz Studio then export it in obj format. Daz Studio, IIRC, puts all the textures into a separate folder with the obj, but with Poser you have to copy the textures yourself and put them in the folder with the obj.

Was there not a utility called GROUPER that assisted in the Poser->Bryce crossover?

There were a number of utilities (python) that collected the image files for you.

Yes - there still is.

There is also MeTaL Fixer, which may be worth checking out.

I believe there was intended to be some link-up between Bryce and DAZ|Studio, both being owned by the same company; but since I use neither, I don't know. If it's working as it was supposed to it might even be worthwhile installing D|S as a gateway to Bryce.
