Subject: What is the best commercially available werewolf figure available for poser?

Sarte ( ) posted Tue, 31 March 2009 at 10:26 PM · edited Sun, 29 December 2024 at 2:38 AM

I can't make up my mind. Is it the Manitou, the Lycanthropos, Sixus's G2 morphs, or what?

It's not Garou. At least, not anymore.

SANCTUMART

It is expensive, but no other poser Lycan even comes close to this.

The Horde Figure by Sanctum Art, combined with the expansion Morphs by Midnight Stories is great. And Lycanthropos by Luthbel over at Daz. I have them both and i am very pleased with them.

If by my life or death I can protect you, I will!

Gareee ( ) posted Wed, 01 April 2009 at 9:42 AM

And lycanthropos also have Night Wolf PLUS for it as well as all the other aftermaret support products for him as well.

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Wed, 01 April 2009 at 9:59 AM

There is also other morphs that offers a wider variety. And it has much more after market support, as Gareee said.

Gareee ( ) posted Wed, 01 April 2009 at 10:16 AM

Oh, yeah.. I totally forgot about Gom's morphs as well!

I like the older Sixus1 werewolf, but don't think it's a available anymore.  The SanctumArt werewolf is the best one I've currently seen.

If memory serves me right, the G2 werewolves have one advantage in that they can morph from human to werewolf form whereas SanctumArt's werewolf is only in werewolf form.

Content Advisory! This message contains nudity

I'd like some clothes on my slavering feral monsters, so that they're presentable in polite company. I understand it's sometimes difficult to find clothes when one undergoes a drastic physical transformation, but what will the neighbors think?

Would there be a chance of the victim of lycanthropic bloodlust to be paralyzed with fear and laughter, alternating between snickering and laughing at the monster's exposed privates or lack thereof?

This cannot go unanswered. Thus, I would ask another boon of thee, o great poserites. Can any of them wear pants, shorts, ripped garments or in the case of those women who run with the pack; a top of some kind?

The Lycanthropos http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/0/night-world-lycanthropos?item=7542&cat=&_m=d at DAZ does have some clothing sets, one of which is a zoot suit :)  http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/reqlist?item=7542&_m=d
Also, WardrobeWizard2 (a clothing converter) also supports the Lycanthropos via an add-on pack thus opening up a whole range of clothing.

Sanctum Arts' Horde creature (currently on sale at ContentParadise http://www.contentparadise.com/us/user/rd_phenotypes_011_horde_product_43039 ) also has a bodysuit available at ContentParadise http://www.contentparadise.com/us/user/ms_horde_sci_fi_suit_product_45988  .

Hope that helps some.

One final question for Gareee. Do you plan on releasing conforming clothing that will fit the morphs included in your product?

I've considered it, but since he is supported by wardrobe wizard, any clothing for him fits any of the morphs, or combinations.

Gom's morphs are injectable, and work fine in the PLUS version of Lycos.

Check out Adam Thwaite's site as well

R I P MJ. He's must have needed an Angel escort in Farrah

Please spay and neuter your pets. Strongly consider shelter adoption before spending $500 to $1000. If you MUST part with that kind of money for a pet, go to your local shelter, donate the money to them and pickup a highly adoptable pet. The shelters could sure use the donation.

Thanks, everyone. It was nice to get opinions from various people and I should be making my decision at the end of the year.

As much as I appreciate your humor, I don't have ANY money to spend on Poser until the end of the year. :(

Well, you asked people to put time and effort into a purchasing decision with not intent of purchase even in the near future.

For all we know, there will be a Daz Millenium werewolf, we might see apollo 2009 with a werewolf add on, or new rawart werewolf goodies, or an update to the existing sixus ones.

The answers to your question could be completely different at the end of the year.

Maybe just ask us waht to have for dinner next time? LOL!

(I vote for mac n cheese and burgers tonight myself!)

I am about to wrap up the Savage Wolf package for the Manitou here is a link to a WIP for the fur
in case you missed it. CP does a First Friday Bizaar where products are up to 90% off and I listed the Manitou last friday - who knows I may do that again next month.

markschum ( ) posted Thu, 14 May 2009 at 10:28 PM

I may be thinking wrong but Sanctum Arts (?) had a figure that may have been werewolfy . RD Phenotype 011 Horde but its quite expensive at least for me .

Mestophales ( ) posted Thu, 14 May 2009 at 10:30 PM

The horde is a great model and worth the money but for the price the Manitou can not be beat

Carioca ( ) posted Thu, 14 May 2009 at 10:36 PM

We need more info about the Savage Wolf package.

Daidalos ( ) posted Sun, 17 May 2009 at 1:53 PM

I like the Manitou myself.

Of course I don't own and won't be purchasing the horde figure anytime soon. They just want too much money over at SA for my budget. ):

I love the Manitou and will be looking forward to buying the add on.  I can see him dancing to "Werewolves of London" now.  Is that a mullet he is wearing in your link above Mestophales?

They are AWESOME! The boy makes good morphs ;o). I had his morphs for the orc for Mike a while back and they were top-notch.

It's in my shopping cart for payday!

We have the Transformation Conforming Clothing pack available at CP for the Manitou as well as several add-ons - Xurge3D's Warlord armor for the Manitou, The Savage Wolf package coming soon, Midnite Stories Ultimate Werewolf Morph pack, The sons of Fenrir texture pack by Cyllan over at CP.

We have several more add-ons coming in the next few weeks - trust me, for the money the Manitou IS the best werewolf model on the market.
