Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 18 10:25 pm)

Subject: Looking for requests.

I have modeld a number of WWII tanks and have sold them on vanishing point.

What I'm thinking of doing now is modeling a scene for Poser.  A lot of scenes have been made for Poser. I'm wondering if there is a type of scene that people might want. What type of scene has not been done much or might do well?

I'm just out of ideas.

Thank you for your time.

Since you have made tanks I can think of several props or scene sets that would include bomb craters, pillbox gun emplacements, tank traps, damaged buildings  and that sort of thing.

Maybe. That might be a idea MarksShum.

I have a few ideas. I saw your gallery posting "Tank hill". Why not some type of setting like that for Poser with trees and grass and some Russian huts for use with your tanks? I also would like to see some type of ruined city block that you could pose tanks in. Also why not more Russian tanks like the T34/85, JSU, and JSU-152?

The T-34 85 was the last tank I made. It should be up on vanishing point very soon.

I guess I can make a ruined battle field. Perhaps I'll do that.

How about a city block or small village - including war damaged buildings.

Walls blown out and such. sounds good. Sand bag props. Maybe I'll do that.

you can get a goodly amount of ruined buildings either at Baument's site, or possible search on Warhawks' 40k (the game, not a tiny program...;) Or just look in freebies here.

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Well, doing things like army bases, battlefields, streets would be one option.

You can also diversify yourself.  When you decided to start doing scenes was there anything in particular you wanted to do?  Also try looking at what is available now and seeing if there is some kind of scenes that either aren't available or that you think you can do better than what's out there.

Here are some random ideas as well:
-Houses and rooms of different styles and periods
-the inside of an office building
-Neighborhood or city streets
-cafes, diners, and other places to eat at
-an indoor mall
-churches, temples, and cathedrals
-sci fi and fantasy sets
-nature scenes: cliffs, fields full of flowers or crops, deserts, beeches, jungles, mountain sides, caves, etc
-a prop pack with enough different pieces to be used with a variety of existing sets
-maybe something inspired by, but still original, from what you've seen in movies or TV... like a scifi conference room like the ones used in star trek and star wars or your version of king authur's round table.

A good poser scene everybody will want and will be in demand is a good 'ol neighborhood of single family houses and nearby stores.

Passion is anger and love combined. So if it looks angry, give it some love!

Quote - A good poser scene everybody will want and will be in demand is a good 'ol neighborhood of single family houses and nearby stores.

However, being an architect, I must say that "a good 'ol neighborhood of single family houses" means very different things to different people, depending on your cultural and socioeconomic background.

Which might be an idea. Neighborhood in Canada. In the US of A. In Togo. In Zambia. In Cambodia. Etc etc...

still hooked to real life and enjoying the siesta!
