Hello

I just bought Bettine for V4.2 and A4 and when I try and use her I get the following:

For V4.2 - her eyes are all scrunched up and squinty.

For A4 - her eyeballs are too small for the eye sockets and leave a white gap.

All I do is load the V4.2 character and then use the Bettine-INJ and the attached photo shows what happens.

I do the same with Aiko 4 - load her and just use the Bettine-INJ and she gets the weird eyeball thing happening.

I spoke to the vendor and she says it has been vigorously tested (which I believe) and I should uninstall and reinstall V4.2 - which I have done with no success.

I have moved around my files for Characters, Poses and Props to group things together - but I do not move around any files for textures, geometries. Have I done something wrong that could cause this weird problem with just this one character - all my other characters for V4 and A4 work fine.

Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong with this character for me?

Have you injected the V4 morphs before injecting Bettine?

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Yes I have tried it both ways - loading V4.2 then the Morphs++ and then the Bettine INJ - but it looks the same both ways - I am very confused.

I have reinstalled both V4.2 and Aiko 4 and still the same problem - I am just not sure what else to do.

Thanks

did you re-initialise V4 after reinstalling? (the .bat file thingy)

You need to inject the A4 morph as well.

I have that package. I just tried it and it works ok.

I loaded V4.2 into a completely empty scene

Went to the Pose folder and loaded Daz's Victoria 4 / Morph Injections

Then injected the following:

INJ Aiko V4
INJ Base V4
INJ Morphs ++ V4

The troubles you are having certainly sounds to me like you need to find your Poser/runtime/libraries/Daz! folder, look in there and run the batch files... "DZ Create Exp files..." - run all the ones you see.

You have to do this every time you install or reinstall any morphs for the Gen4 figures.

Keep with it, Bettine is so cute :D

I am seeing the image and this is the effect of not loading properly the A4 American Morphs, what can be caused for many reasons:
1-Agree to last post about the needing of re-initialise V4 with the new morphs available, as A4 or V4. Probably you are having a basical V4 file which doesn´t contain the channels to inject the A4 morphs.
2-Other cause can be that one of the morphs that are called for the Bettine injection (A4 american from DAZ) is not in the proper location and when poser look for it, doesn´t find it and then pass the alert and never show you that. Poser can do all kind of crazy things, nothing is too much...
3-Other cause can be that the morphs are there, and correctly installed but corrupted. Than happened a few days ago to a friend that was trying to use G4.

Hope we can help you in some way...

Don't tell me that I am wrong if I say I saw pointed ears this morning, in my mirror... they are there.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions.

I bit the bullet and uninstalled Poser 7 and I am now working towards reinstalling everything (whew! what a herculean task) - but I immediately reinstalled V4, A4 and Bettine - and she now works perfectly - so there was obviously something seriously wrong with my V4/A4 characters.

Thanks again for all your comments!!!
