It's good to live near the beach! We have hundreds of miles of beach front in Michigan, but there's ice and snow on them for six or seven months of the year. Makes them much less appealing for sun bathing and so forth. 😄

No snow in Bat-Yam or Tel-Aviv, unless one defrost his/her refrigerator, and the only ice comes in trays.

So I understand. I've always preferred being hot to being cold, for some reason. I lived in North Carolina for five years. Loved that climate. Very short, mild winters. Long summers. Got hit by a hurricane, though. That wasn't much fun. Had no electricity for two weeks. Trees down everywhere. Roofs blown right off houses.  Kind of a rare thing for Charlotte to get hit. It's 150 miles inland. Oh, well....
