Subject: Can you save the radiosity prepass ?

FrankT ( ) posted Mon, 15 June 2009 at 7:19 PM · edited Sat, 23 November 2024 at 10:50 PM

Bit of an odd question but sometimes, when Vue is rendering out the prepass for a radiosity render, I rather like the look of it and I wouldn't mind being able to save it out as a PNG or something.  Anyone know if that's possible ?

the only way i can see, Frank, is to cancel the render right after prepass has finished.  save as you would any render

I had a feeling that might be the case.  I wonder if it's available to Python or something like that.

From memory I don't think its available through python although I could be wrong.  As far as I remember only the various images that can be saved from the regular interface are available from Python.

The Multi-Pass buffer has "Indirect Lighting" as one of the possible layers, is that not what you want ?

I don't know - I'll have to have a look at that and see what it looks like.  Might be what I'm after
