Subject: Animating morph on "Body" element or "Chest"

LionheartM ( ) posted Tue, 23 June 2009 at 9:21 PM · edited Fri, 22 November 2024 at 9:12 PM

 Hi again!

I've encountered a problem in Poser that I can't figure out.

I'm animating breathing, and I'm using the "Inhale" morph.  I used the Inhale on the "Chest" element and had it looking fine. But then I noticed some keyframes for that morph had been created under the "Body" element.. and looking at the graph editor, the curves look similar but are different.. Like where it's set as Liner on "Chest" where I have a pause, it dips far under on the "Body" element.

I can't tell if it actually affects the morph.. but it has me wondering..

If I deleted the frames under "Body" it deletes the ones on "Chest" too..

Can anyone tell me what the relationship between the two elements is? Do the "Body" animation curves actually affect the "Chest" ones?

Thanks!!!!

I haven't got it, but see if there's an inhale dial for abdomen, lcollar, rcollar et al.
it could be an FBM.

Hmm.. no. It's just on the chest. And I have the same thing happening for "StomachDepth" on the Abdomen.

what figure ?  its likely a fbm  and your seeing the seperate channels.

It's V4.2.  I'm not sure what you mean by separate channels.. any chance you could clarify that?

Thanks!

OK, for V4.2 the Body Dial Inhale is PBMinhale  which is linked to the chest dial PMBnhale.
Chest PBMinhale has control of Abdomen dial PBMinhale.   What you see on the dial is Inhale.

When the Body dial is changed the Chest dial changes and so will the abdomen dial value.

When you keyframe the dial you may get keyframes on Body, Chest and Abdomen.

If you have done a breakspline and your movement does not appear correct you should check the other parameters.
