Subject: Conforming Clothes!?

3-d-c ( ) posted Tue, 30 June 2009 at 8:12 AM · edited Mon, 23 December 2024 at 10:43 AM

Hi all,

i may be totally stupid... but there is a question i havent yet found a solution for. Its probably a simple click and i dont find the right button ... well

the problem is that some clothes defined to be "conforming" items, dont seam to pick the FBM morphs from the main character. Even the simple full Body Morphs like Voluptous etc need to be set by hand. And then, i often find the dials in the main body settings of a cloth not working, so i have to set the same dial settings in all single parts.

Sometimes i guess it might be V4 or 4.2 related, but there are very little things i find working correctly.
Now, i do it as usual, load my character, load the character morphs or adjust by hand, then select the character, and load the closing. I conform the closing to the figure.... and still no morphs conformed.

Is there a simple thing i am missing`???

THanks for your help ....

You are mixing 2 different things. Conforming clothes means, the clothes follow the moves of the figures. An other type of clothes is called Superconforming or ERC. Those clothes follow some, usually not all morphs of the figures where they are conformed to.

ah OK! So it is normal so to say, that all changes must be made by hand?

As long the cloth is not superconforming, yes.

Making all the changes by hand isn't that hard, provided the FBMs in the clothes were named the same as those from the main figure..
It's just a matter of copying and pasting.
Select the body of the main figure and copy the select the body of the conformed figure and paste.

There's an utility in freestuff that will help you to set the dials for non-superconforming outfits:
search for morphconform in the freestuff area.
If the outfit doen's have any morphs or  the morphs you need, you can try morphing clothes of dimension3D (not free!), it's an utility which adds the morphs you need to your clothes, even morphs you have made yourself, and you can even make the morphs superconforming.

regards,

Bopper.
