Sorry for the delay!  (Thanks for the nudge, Kim!)

Here's a pic from the trip I took with Sig (junge1) over the North Cascades Highway a few weeks ago.  Straight out of the camera, so you can have all the fun you want!

Good source image but stunning failure on my part to create what I wanted. Here it is anyway.

I love the wake on that speedboat ... it's perfect!

Don't know what you were going for, Kort, but the result you came up with is pretty spectacular!

Thanks. I was going for a sunset look, but couldn't get the light right and there was a light halo in the trees I couldnb't easily get rid of. Keep 'em coming folks, fun images!

Oh yeah ... that tree halo thing.  It makes postworking shots from here a bit challenging!  Too many fussy bits around the edges.  I haven't yet found a satisfactory way to handle that problem without extreme zoom and a WACOM, and it's still not anywhere close to perfect.  Combine the fact that fir trees are in every horizon shot and our sky is almost always white, and you see why there aren't a lot of landscape pics in my gallery!  LOL!

Your sunset looked like a sunset to me, so the result might be better than you think.  I love the reflected glow on the trees (especially the lone tree on the left).  We don't have sunsets like that up here very often, so when we do they're a spectacular treat.  When the sun goes down here, it just gets dark!

This is what I would have done to it if I posted it in my gallery ... just a straight "improvement."  (Of course that's ALWAYS open to debate!  LOL!)

Ok, I just took out all signs of humankind, wires, electrical towers, the bridge and then just did a little clarify, color filter and soft viginette.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

So where do they go when a photograph leaves you speechless?
