Please where is a realistic (not anime etc) British Army sergeant model, or his uniform and hat/cap/beret/or whatever, preferably of year about 1950 to 1970, for Michael or for any of the men who came with Poser 4/5/6/7? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please where is a good model of a USA PASGT helmet?

I poked around on google and I found several, but none for free.  For the helmet, you could model something like this pretty easily though I think?  You've modeled lots of things that are a lot more complex than this.

For the entire uniform, I doubt you will find something for free but maybe adh3d has something appropriate.  He tends to model for Apollo/Michael 4 though.

These are close, but they are stand alone low polygon figures.

There used to be a helmet at 3DCafe, but they still haven't fixed their freebie area.

I was going to recommend the old Michael 2 75th Ranger, by Billy-T, but that's no longer available here.

There really isn't a good modern soldier Poser combat figure on the market that I'm aware of.

This is beginning to look like "the trail and the packhorse again": buy a PASGT helmet at an army and navy surplus shop, if I can, and make a model by measuring it.

But is there any progress on the UK army sergeant's uniform and hat?

When these were issued to us in the early 80's I hated them as did a lot of old timers the first issues were not very good with bad design flaws.... and you couldn't use them to cook in! LOL!

Daz has a set of battle rattle for M3 that is as close as you're going to get to anything that is standard modern issue.

however, cooking with the old helmets tended to affect the temper of the metal...;)
I've seen any number of modern outfits in the gallery with modern BDUs, complete with helmets. Not sure where they came from, but maybe someone else knows.

I once made the British helmet used from WWI to sometime after WWII (it wasn't that hard), but that's as close as I've got.

Not quite an exact match for the British uniform you seek -

Poserworld - http://www.poserworld.com
RAF Desert set -  Pants, Shirt and Beret, originally created as a 100% authentic RAF desert uniform from the 1st Gulf war or a general UK uniform. For M3, Apollo, David, James, and Stephanie3. Other uniforms also - for M1 & M2, P4 Male, others

It is a subscription site, but they do have DVDs of 10 years of poserworld material

Not affiliated with Poserworld - just a satisfied customer (100s of DLs)

Also appreciate the models you've created, Anthony, Thanks for making them available to the community. Created textures for many of your characters, but lost them all to a machine crash last year. Currently only have redone a mediochre texture for blankwoman.

Are you looking for combat uniform, or more formal duties? The technicalities on precise uniforms can get a bit intimidating, and there was one fairly big change in the middle of your period.

Early: Conscription, still essentially WW2 battledress, webbing, and weapons

Late: Volunteer army, combat jacket, '58 pattern webbing, British versions of the FN FAL rifle and FN MAG machine gun.

The changes happened over several years, as the attached photo shows.

If you have a clothing conversion utility, to use the P5 Female Combat Jacket (they did the combat pants, but not the jacket, for the man--crazy!), you can at least get something of the right look for the sixties.

The Parachute Regiment wore the Denison smock all through the period.

PoserWorld is good.

Useful for some uniforms, etc.

Vanishing Point has the various weapon packs designed by Panko.
