I was thinking that there are lots of different types of people using Poser in different ways.  For Example

**The Poser Composer
**
Buys stuff and uses it to create images of their own mind and dreams.

The Poser Technician

More or less as above but goes under the bonnet(hood) to tweak things and uses some of Posers less used features. 
The Poser Developer

As per technician but uses external apps to create content for use in the wide world of Poser

The Poser Engineer

Formerly a technician but now is a master of the trade and can turn their hand to more or less anything and can answer questions about the most obscure setting you care to think of.

I think i would consider myself as a Poser Technician.  Taking my time transcending to the other levels.

composer  still learning to do other  things  in poser and other modeling programs

I'm a Poser Crazy
Poser is an outlet for me to have fun with, I buy
a lot of characters-mostly from renderosity or daz.
I never get into the tech side of high art. In poser
you do anything you want with no harm done. It's
fun,expensive, but fun. Best of all, sellers are always
coming out with new characters. Keep up the good
work folks.

where does 'Grumpy homicidal poser experimenter' come under?

I don't really know what you would call me as I tend to use poser as an additional plugin for Carrara7pro to expand the program further. Sounds silly I know... but it does work nicely when you need it.

I do it myself to some extent :) I use all sorts of programs to get to the final image, not just Poser.

Oh, absolutely... I actually bend and twist the joints on all my models directly in my modeling program without any benefit of joints or bones or IK, then I render 'em.

See, that way, I also get the added joy of whacking my forehead on the table periodically, because it's so unnecessarily hard.

I am a Poser Developer in training.

Poser Technician with a tendency of hitting my thumb with the hammer.

Poser Hack! Somewhere between Technician and Developer. I've developed content and sold and given it away but I prefer tinkering.

I'm the Poser 12 oz. curler... :lol:

oh...and I make stuff too.

 Mostley a Developer, love to create, but keep creativitiy private.

Sadly, I've recently become a Poser Grumpus.  It happened slowly.  I started as a Wannabe Artist, found myself limited in that area, and became a Tinkerer.  I gradually found both my limits as Tinkerer and those of the software in certain areas.  Eventually, I spent all my time alternately fighting those limits and creating new curse words to punctuate my efforts.  I'm not sure when I degenerated into a full-on Grumpus, but it seems to have happened.  I rather hope Poser 8 will help me grow past this troubling phase.  It's sad to hate something so much because, ultimately, you love it so much.  Sigh.  :(

I use Poser, throw in other stuff, make my own stuff (Pakled's Curse - I'll make a @#$%  copy of a model, and invariably someone will come along months later....and do it right...;), and sorta get a picture out...;)

The Poser Composer Mostly, but with Technician tendancys, but only so far as " I really need this, adn cant find one" or "to do this beyond it's design specs" for a pic I am working on.
