Subject: Just in time for Poser 8: new stupid Poser tricks :)

[Stupid Poser trick #1]
If you use the figure mixer to create a hybrid figure in Daz|Studio 3 ADV, then save the figure as a CR2 and load it into Poser, INJ morphs don't work correctly (wrong vertex order). The easy way to fix this is to load the base OBJ for the first figure in the mix, then load the second (+ any additional) figure's base mesh as a morph target, dial in the same amounts that were used to mix, and then export the new OBJ. Finally, edit the CR2 to point to your new obj, and viola! INJ poses will work with a D|S mixed figure in Poser. Tried in Poser 6, haven't tried in Poser 7, don't know if it will work in Poser 8.

[Stupid Poser trick #2]
Just discovered a rather interesting new trick involving the grouping tool: if you spawn a new group on a body part, then save the figure to the library, then load the figure and add a bone for the new group in the setup room, both the new part and its parent will retain all morphs, although the morph dials will be hidden on the new part and its parent will control its morphs. This works in Poser 6, haven't yet tried it in Poser 7, don't have Poser 8 yet (obviously).

Would someone kindly bonk me over the head and then wake me up when Poser 8 is shipping :)

What is the figure mixer?  It sounds interesting.

In trick # 2, is there geometry assigned to the new group?  At first reading, it seemed like a body handle was being added.  If geometry is added to the new child group, is that geometry still retained by the parent part?  I've found that one can add a new child part with identical (but truncated) geometry, weld it to the parent, and use the parent morphs on both parts - useful for re-mapped nipples as breast body handles.  But that doesn't sound like quite the same thing....

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

It's a feature available in DAZ|Studio 3 Advanced which allows you to blend two or more figures, creating a new hybrid.

It's decidedly limited, though.  You can only blend certain DAZ figures in certain combinations.  And the hybrids tend to have trouble with conforming clothing.
