That is absolutely THE coolest statue in the history of the world.  Freakin' astonishing!  I have a friend who doesn't like Freddie Mercury.  Hard to believe, isn't it?  This statue always makes me think of him, but I don't have any pics of him that I took myself, and the connection would be a bit obscure anyway.

I shall continue to think on this ...

Ah!  Got it.  Not F. Mercury, but a bronze statue, nonetheless.

This is the fifth time I look at this gorgeous little statue and every time It makes me think about my little sweet grand daughter Noa. She loves to read books and I just gave her my OLD collection of 10 Laura Ingalls Books I had from my own childhood and treasured in all these years. I got one book of my father every year from the age of 7. I still love the books. Noa is very happy for the books.

Thank you Tara. Yes, you are right. I love to fish, but not so much, that I like to sit alone and do it :-)))  And these are really from that time :-) I thought of them right away. They are quite fascinating.

I looked at this earlier today, but I was lurking and in a hurry.  At the time, I thought ... "Oh!  That reminds me of ..." whatever it was ... some image I have in my files ... But the thought is gone now!  I'll have to look again later.  I'm sure it will come back to me!

I remembered!  I thought and thought and couldn't come up with whatever it was, so I decided to just look at it again and see what else might float to the top.  Suddenly it came to me, and it was the same thought I'd had earlier!  :D  Yay!  Brain still functioning, even if it IS in a bit of a circle.  LOL!  This is a crankshaft for a boat motor that hangs on the wall of the building I work in.  It's to let delivery people know which door to stop at.
