Subject: need a little help!!

there used to be a tutorial for getting rid of extra unneeded data in a morph obj file or a cr2.I created some morphs but the file size is to big.Any advice would be great!!

morphs? yes, but I don't recall which lines you would delete. will try to recall. there is also an utility to do that, but don't recall the name. for cr2 files, you can delete the geomcustom co-ordinate lists and add two path reference lines to have it refer to an obj file. this is done automatically by CR2Edit4 IIRC. you can also do it in a text editor. see attached link (CR2 Autopsy Parts 1) on Chevy's site.

heyas; morphsqueeze is for creating distributable objs out of your morphs. (does it mess with cr2's like morph manager?) to get them out of your cr2, there are several things you can do. 1: in poser, open the heirarchy editor, click 'show all parameters,' then scroll down to the part with the morphs (dont close any branches, they'll just re-open after you delete), select the morphs (one at a time) and press delete. remember to save the figure back to the library. 2: morph manager by mr x. (check the utilities section in free stuff.) load up your cr2, and delete morphs singly or all at once. 3: in any cr2 editor, under each body part is a channels section. in the channels section are the morphs. they're named... yeesh, now i've gone and forgotten! but it's some techie name for 'morph' and has the name of the morph on it. there's a bunch of delta vertex lines in the morphs, so i dont recommend trying to extract them with a plain text editor.

I'm a little surprised nobody has said this already: A morph target is simply an .obj file. If you open it in a text editor. You can delete all of the "f" lines. They aren't needed and this will cut down thier file size. I think you can remove more than that. But I'm not really sure what else you can remove safely. ScottA

bloodsong, "targetGeom" Also, Morph Manager is by Mason. I don't think it's available in Free Stuff anymore, but I'm pretty sure it's still at http://www.3d-cc.com. (Mr. X was hosting it for him at some point maybe?) Scott, You can delete everything in an .obj file except for the v-lines. And for everyone, Please, please, please remember that distributing .obj files of other people's work is illegal, even if it's "sqeezed." We can do this with DAZ/Zygote stuff because they have given us all permission. However, when making .obj file MT's for other people's work make sure you get their permission first. Thanks.

heyas; morph manager is by mason??? mine says mr x on it. (maybe mr x is mason?? i'm confoozed.) (i have version 4. is there a new one?) targetgeom! thanks :) oh! you want to create obj files, not delete morphs from your figure. i'm sorry, i read your message wrong. ignore me. :)
