A quick check before sending a bug report to SM...

Is anyone else finding that the Render Settings window always opens in Automatic view when first opened after starting Poser 8?

Poser 7 and Pro remember, between sessions, that I use only the Manual view; but Poser 8 seems to have lost this feature, or it's just not working any more.

Thanks for feedback... I'll note it when I file the bug report. I'm on Mac, but input from PC people would also be useful.

Have you set "Launch to previous state" on the Interface tab of the preferences ?

Thanks nruddock - yes, I did that on my first use of the program last week.

 Mac user here.

At first P8 would open with the automatic settings window and I only use the manual ones, but now I just made a test.

I opened P8, went to Render settings, changed to manual settings and chose "Save settings".

Then to Poser Preferences, Documents tab, clicked "Set preferred State" (Launch to preferred state is selected), clicked OK and closed Poser.

When I restarted: Bingo! the manual settings window comes up.

 And thanks to you both! Before I read this thread I thought I couldn't do anything about the automatic settings window always coming up. I don't remember having to do anything in P7 to change it to open the manual settings window.
