Subject: Can someone tell me what Poser is doing!

When I load a character file or a poser file with a missing texture map or a bump map, Poser is doing something then prompts me whether to keep looking for the file or not. But what ticks me off is that it looks like that Poser keeps looking for the missing file when I told it not to. Also, When Poser is looking for the file that I told it to skip, Poser consumes so much processor time and memory to crash Windows. Can someone tell me how to prevent Poser 4.03 from doing this or should I upgrade to Poser Pro.

That effect happens in PPP as well, the best advise i can give is have a small low byte count jpg handy and when it happens point poser to that texture. if you try to back 0ut, well you know what happens this is a teitious task but it lets you get to the model and re-texture it you the files you have and then re-save it.

Yes, this is one of the more annoying bugs that needs to be fixed.

They just need another button, "Cancel loading this figure"

heyas; save your figures, or edit the cr2's so they dont call for texture maps. doesnt your poser ask you if you want to keep searching for files (all the files)? do you say 'no'? it should quit looking for the rest of the textures, in that case. it will be 'busy' continuing to load the figure, however. when i tell it not, it quits trying to load any textures at all.
