Subject: Installation problem and serials trouble

Hello,

maybe someone of YOU can help me out cause the technical service at e-on / cornucopia doesn't answer my help request.

Just recently I got a new pc (hurraaayyyy) and wanted to install my Vue 6 Infinite. This program is a sidegrade from Vue 6 Pro. Vue 6 Pro itself is a sidegrade from Vue 6 Esprit.
I installed Vue 6 Esprit, entered the serial number, it all worked fine. Then I added the serial numbers of the modules (like Botanica etc.) Program worked with all modules.
So thennnnnn I ran the vue 6 infinite sidegrade installer, I got asked for my INST-code, which I entered and which was accepted. Then, a window popped up, where I had to enter the serial number for Botanica ... I entered it, an error message showed up saying that this is not the right serial number, I hit ok, a new window popped up, asking me to enter the serial number for Vue 6 PRO.... I entered it, again I got asked for the module serial number and again, it wasn't accepted.
So now I am at my wits end, I really don't know anymore what to do.
I am using windows vista 64 bit and I ran the programs in admin mode.

If anyone has any idea, I'd be very very happy. Thanks already.

since your installing infinite, i dont think you need the modules anyway, is it possible to install pro studio without the modules?  that might work if you can, if not im afraid youll just have to wati for a reply!

Since you have just purchased the product you can get phone support. Go to the e-on website at:
http://www.e-onsoftware.com/about/?page=1

And get the phone number that applies to your location. I have always received help with installation problems this way.

its not pro studio without the modules, and im not sure why infinite would be asking for modules of any kind...

ok... have you tried uninstalling everything and doing it all over again?  ALSO... just thought of this... you have 64 bit - i'm assuming you didnt have 64 bit before...

Esprit & pro studio install to the 32bit side of the program files (it'll say something like program files x84).  INFINITE will go to the other one.  Maybe if you force infinite to install in the exact same area?  It wont affect performance to do it this way - they have the two separate areas for us humans to remember which programs are 32 bit and which work with 64 bits... the computer knows no matter what LOL.

good luck =D

Log into your account at e-on and get the Pro Serial number.  That way you don't have to hassle with the installation.

To get to the serial number:

Click on My Account in the upper right of e-on's page.

Scroll down just a bit till you see a table showing "Your Orders, Download Links, Serial Numbers and Invoices".  Each line is a link.  Click on the one you need the serial number for.

Scroll down again on the next page - there is a button for Send Serial Number.  Click on that and you will be sent the serial number.

Don't forget - from the e-mail you can copy/paste all the looooong numbers into the installation screen instead of typing them.

Noticed you are running Vista - make sure when you install Vue you right-click on the exe file and select Run as Administrator.  This is not the same as having administrator rights for the computer.  Otherwise Vista won't let Vue write the reg code to the Windows folder.  The Vue will keep asking you to enter the ACT code each time you start.

Thanks everyone for trying to help me... but the problem is still not solved, I am working on it.

I hope by now you have everything installed.

If not, go right to Vue6 infinite install, supply serial numbers and even though it asks for your Vue6 Pro serial number enter it as Vue6 Esprite and the dialogue box changes for that serial number. I had to work my way down to Vue5 to satisfy the sidegrade trail. I burned up all my activations because I did not run Vue in administrative mode.

Good luck, when you get it right they thank you for using legal software. ...AGM

I'd give e-on tech support a call then - or open a support ticket at e-on.

Hellooooo,

I downloaded an update today for Vue 6 Infinite and it's finally working, hurray. It seems, it had been a bug in the older version I had.

Still thank you very much everyone for trying to help me.

Have a good rendering.

Installing an "Update" was the only way I was able to install Vue6 Pro Studio on my Vista system. The original installer would not run on my 64 bit system, no matter what I did. So, I transferred all my 'e-on software' program files from my old machine to the program files in x86 and ran the update. I have had no problems and I don't have to right click and run as admin, I can double click the icon as before.
