Subject: Poser 8 full crash - anyone using 3D Space Navigator here?

Hello,
today I have installed Poser 8 - and yes, the oly thing after one hour is a complete crash. I cannot work with the program.
At this time, I think about a conflict with Poser 8 and the 3d Space Navigator. at the first start, I could use the mouse to manipulate the standard figure. after using the Space Navigator additionally, the program crashed.

but it crashed after using the hotkey Strg + Shift + H too.
is someone with the SpaceNavigator here? is the hotkey working on your systems?

regards

Holger

Make sure you have the latest space navigator driver.. they updated it about 6 months ago. The latest one has CS4 support a well.

thank you for your answer.
my update is the latest one.

I cannot work with Poser 8, I cannot do anything, only move a figure with the Navigator. no mouse inputs are computed. with keyboard, I can chose the menus, but there is an delay of 10 seconds or so. the menu commands are not executed too.

I am not sure if the Navigator is the reason, I only thought so.

What about the latest video card drivers?

yes, I will check, if a new driver is available.
but maybe my display fusion-software could be a reason - will check it too.

ATI just released a new driver a week ago, BTW. I'd also try to switch to sreed on the preview.. if things then work, then your opengl and video driver are the culprits.
