Hi Bop and a big "hello"...my english is just as lousy ;) You have flare for composition and both the images are good. I just like to say that I find the rendering output a big on the grainy side. You did not mention at what render mode you you did, however, try and avoid lighted shadows that mixed with ambient lighting under the object itself....because somehow, in Vue 3.1, it tend to be grainy. I not sure why and especially it happen to stray lights under the object itself. Not sure if Vue 4 has the same 'problem'. two good example from your images is the graininess under the roof structure and those underside of the leaves of the trees. If you have too, then you may have to put soft light with low power and do test rendering, however this would bloat up rendering time and file size. The quicker way is to change camera tilt to get a different view and may have to play with ambient lighting value. You too may have to do with broadcast or ultra mode rendering. There may be better work around but I handle them only as they come. Great image and nice effort :)
Welcome Claude! You've got some unique material selections, and it looks like you're using them well. I really like the blurred silver or aluminum on the structure, also the glass in the columns. Your camera angles are great, too. To help your images reach a wider audience, consider posting them in the Vue d'Esprit gallery here at Renderosity. Folks can comment on them there too, and you'll probably get more comments. :)
Great thanks, Tradivoro... The glass texture was a last minute idea... I was not really happy, but my friends said that was cool... looks like they were reason... Thanks, Tesign... For both the images, I used the "final" rendering setting (I'm not really patient on render time...). The grainyness on the temple was expressly wanted (I'm not sure if this is correct english...), but not on leaves. It's not the first time I had the problem with the tree's textures. I made a "ultra" rendering for the paladine, and, even if it's better, the problem's always exist... I will work on this... Varian, a real thank you. I've made as you say (Is this correct ?) and I have posted my pics in the gallery... And I want to say that I visit your site every week for looking things I can steal :-) You make a real good job for all the Vue Community !!! Thank you, Sharen... I make my best, for my pictures... and my english too :-) Can we read your french ? ;-)
Merci Claude! (and that's the extent of my French!) ;) The tree leaf materials need to be a higher resolution for the larger images; it will help cut down the grain. I have been planning to do this (for all) sometime this summer, but summer is passing so quickly, I may not be able to get it done very soon. Naturally, each person can res-up the materials themselves. :)
