Hi!

Lets say i change the settings/maps for the material "3_SkinArm" (on V4), is there an utility that will let me choose to which other materials i want these settings applied to?

For example "3_Skinforearm", "3_skinhand", "3_skinleg" etc?

Regards / Jonny

Sometimes it takes longer to find the utility and learn how to use it.

What I often do is save the selected material to the material library then select each other material in turn and double click the new library thumbnail.

Hi!

Jefsview:
That looks promising, i like the idea that you can configure it for figures that are not included, thanks for link.

PhilC:
I Usualy select all, pick other material, paste, delete left over nodes.
It takes a lot of time :-)
Your way im sure is faster but im gonna change many figures, need some kind of script.

Thank you both for your replys.

I Usually sellect the nodes I want to copy. In Windows, I can hold down the shift key, and left mouse click all of the things I want to copy. Then I go to the node where I want to change the nodes. Again, I can hold down the shift key, sellect the things I want to delete, and delete everything at the same time. Then a paste, and reconnecting loose nodes finishes up the job.

I also copy nodes that I want to preserve to the Preview window so that I can undo my changes later on, if I decide to.

I'll second the vote on Shader Spider.

Copy nodes is great -- it will remember your groupings when you use the same character again, like M4 or V4, partial nodes are great for setting up reflections, specular, GC, etc., renaming nodes is great (though I had to hack the script to make it not replace my spaces with underscores).

Hi!

Bougth Shader Spider and im very pleased with result, it works in Poser 8 even if the product info only states Poser 6 and 7.

This will increase my speed in Material room.

Thanks!
