Does anyone ever use the chat feature?

I can be a bit shy about joining in conversations with people I don't know, but I have ventured to the chat room a few times. Each time there is no-one there.

Has it been abandoned...?

Perhaps there room be rooms dedicated to various topics - it might encourage more use. Just a thought :)

I'm in there on occasion ;) 

It really depends on the time of day.  During regular business hours, in the US, it's usually got a few people in it ;)

 Just don't make all the "scheduled chats" in what would be late at night for us Europeans. Granted, I work night shifts and is usually awake at US hours.. but I'm not normal either LOL

I tried it 2 or 3 mos. ago and there were 8 users, but it was too juvenile IMVHO and there were no celebs :crying:

the only celeb I can mention without getting into trouble is dick van dyke.
the rest of them would send me to gitmo if I suggested they be asked to put in an appearance.
we gotta be patient and wait for them to volunteer.

To my knowledge, Dick van Dyke is not a celeb here.  Other than that, well, dunno. 

he is wanted by the Cockney Mafia for crimes against the accent.......

so that means if dvd somehow evidences himself here, he would be a candidate for a chat session, with some mods to lay some smack down if necessary?

 If he wanted to.  Heck, if I were famous, and on any community-style website, I'd do my darndest to stay anonymous, simply to blend in ;)

i just went in & i was the only person there, can't see why no-one uses it.

I try to be in the chat as much as possible. A bit disconcerting when some people, I won't say who, come in and immediately block you. I said nothing but "hello".. o.o

We really do need more people in the chat. I'd love to see like some sort of chat status thingy on the main page, that shows who is in the chat at a given time.. or even have certain get-together times. Something to help the room from having more than 3 people in at any given moment.

I just checked and there are two people in it.  not bad!
