Subject: Connecting objects: possible in Vue?

Hello,
I have a nice car object, and like to be able to open the car's doors easily in a natural way.
So, is it possible to either connect the doors to the body, or define the axis for the rotation
of the door, so when I rotate or move the door it'll look like the real thing?
I guess it can be done with dynamic nodes, but I didn't  find any useful examples on how
to do this.

I won't need it for animations, it's just for easier scene modification.

Thanks in advance for your time.

It's very easy to change the rotation axis point: just change the pivot position (object properties panel, numerics tab, last icon on the left, tick "show pivot", use axis to change position).

If you also need to change the rotation axis angle, this  is more difficult. It depends on the orientation the object has (which was defined when it was modelled). I don't know how to change it in Vue. As a workaround in Vue, maybe you can use the "View Transformation" in the rotation gizmo, which is always orthogonal to the views. So, just place the camera in the right position, call the rotation gizmo and rotate the object. Not very clean...

Hope that helps.
