Subject: Making custom Leaves

Hello,

I would like to attempt to make a custom tree in Vue 6 Infinite and before I begin I was wondering if someone would mind answering a couple of questions for me first?

Is there an optimum image size and resolution for the tree leaf images? I have been looking at some of the leaf maps in the leaf editor but I can't see a way to get the image map out of the editor to see what its properties are. Can this be done?

I have found one tutorial on how to do custom plants in the Rendo tutorial section and it is very good, but I would like to preview others as well if any are available. Does anyone know where I might find some?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

To export any texture image, use 'export link' on the links tab

There are extensive tutorials on how to make custom plants at www.asilefx.com (alas, not for free). You may also try geekatplay.

I have made one on my website called custom leaves for Vue trees.

offrench,

Thank you for your reply. In fact, it is your tutorial that I am currently following. I do have a question about it however. You mention about making an image 512x512 pixels in size. Is this the optimal size/resolution that should be used for all leaf maps or is acceptable to use larger/higher resolution maps?
