Pro has bacground rendering and networked rendering. The render can take advantage of 64bit but the rest of the app is still only 32bit. Pro has more export to other software such as maya, lightwave, max. Not sure how well they work, I don't have those. So there are advantages over P7.
That said, P8 renders faster. Takes advantage of all your cores instead of the way P7 does it. The added IDL lighting. The new core rewrite, so natural to have a few bugs but SR1 is close at hand. New UI if you like that kind of stuff. New library. New added JP zone.
My opinion having both. I would skip pro and get P8 for same upgrade price as you would pay from P7 to P8. Then see what Pro 2010 is like with the new coding. Upgrade to that from P8 if that is what you need. Might be the cheeper way to go.

I'm currently at Poser 6 and checking the poser site, it lists Poser Pro as more expensive than P8. Does Poser Pro offer more than Poser8? I've been reading the threads about P8 and I've read that there has been some bugs, but it has always been that way with what ever version that rolls out it seems like.
Am I better off spending more money on Poser Pro or going with Poser 8. Thought I'd ask those out there who have already upgraded through P7 Pro and 8 :)
Thanks
