I am greatly saddened to report that Mary Travers of folk singing group Peter Paul and Mary, passed away on September 16, from a side effect of the chemotherapy she was receiving after a bone marrow transplant to combat leukemia. She was 72. She will be missed more than words can express.

May she forever frolick in the autumn mist in a land called honah lee...

If not for cancer so many would still be with us!

I join you in mourning her passing.

Seem so sad but she has peace without pain now. I also saw where Henry Gibson also passed away yesterday as well. Many of us older folks remember him from Rowan and Martin's laugh in program. He was the poet with the flower that did political satirical poems as others... "And now a peace on earth....by Henry Gibson."  He was also a song writer as well.

So many greats are gone....it saddens me...I grew up with  many of these...I remember watching Laugh-In, I remember Mary of Peter, Paul and Mary.  I hope they did not suffer, they both offered all of us a fun part of our souls.
