Could be some scripting oddity. Since I upgraded Opera, the gadget to add a clickable link to a post here doesn't work and I keep getting error messages that the "toolbar forumpro" doesn't exist. I already have 5 browsers installed, Chrome was just one more too many :-)

The thing that really freaked me out about Chrome worst of all was that I had a horrible
time uninstalling it! And I wasn't the only one. People were throwing sh*t fits all over the
place. BTW though, this was upon its first release. But that was enough for me. Finally
somebody figured out how to uninstall it though and that was it for me. Like Laurie and
Jeff said, FF forever. Yup.
Yup, I use Chrome, and, so does bantha, IIRC.
I have less problems with Chrome than I do with FF, Opera, Safari, or IE. I don't need any of the plugins. I was having problems with FF bogging my computer down after an hour of surfing and needing to restart the system in order to get it to work properly. Since I need a browser to do my job here, it wasn't feasible. So, I tried others, landed w/ chrome, and well....yeah ;)
What sort of problems are you having with Chrome? I don't have anything but the basic setup here.

I think you may have been asking Marble since he's still using it, but one thing I remember
besides that it wouldn't uninstall was that you couldn't access Microsoft sites using it.
Such as groups or the public forums.
Sounds similar to the problem he's having here @ Renderosity.
Edit ... You could view them, but not sign in to them.
I'm asking in general. Part of it is curiosity, as I'm not having the same problems (obviously). Also, I'd like to help. I'm not a die-hard any software user. I use what works for me at the time, and when it starts sucking, I'll move to something else.

Just to look at this from a different angle, I think it's really interesting to note that
Google will soon be competing directly against Microsoft in the OS market.
This has also raised issues between Apple and Google as Eric Schmidt recently stepped
down from the Apple board.

What I'm getting at here is that it's not always in these guys' best interests to play happy
together when integrating software.
Using Vista, I've never bothered to go through the PITA fix which will correct "Error 46"
received upon launching Apple's QuickTime player.
Just a coincidence though, I'm sure. Heh heh.
See, and I don't use quicktime ever, so I've never had the error ;) I use iTunes (only to load my iPod), though ;)
It may not be in their immediate best interests to play well together, but it is in their best interest to be, well, basic internet compliant. Most browsers work the same on almost every site I visit. If they work differently, it's usually not the browser's fault, though ;)
Microsoft has had competition, even from free OS's for years. Unless google makes their OS easy to use for people who just want to surf the web, play Solitaire, or MAYBE use Word documents, it's not going to take off. Linux/Unix is free. I love it to death, and would prefer it over Windows 7 (my current OS). It doesn't play well with Poser, DS, Carrarra, Hexagon, and Photoshop, so I don't use it as a primary OS. I'm not super advanced in my skillset, so I'm not ever going to be that guy that came up with the one route to compatibility, lol, unless it's completely by accident ;)

I like Google Chrome but have had a problem with a couple of sites. In this case, I can access the forums and click "Start Thread" and write the post, but when I hit submit it takes me back to the main forum and my post isn't there. (What it should do is take me to my new thread where I can see my post..)
Typing this reply in Chrome so let's see if it works...
That's strange, as they work on the same concept. there's a chance you tried posting while the site was hiccupping. Have you tried it again today?

I'm using GoogleChrome and have done so ever since it was released. There's no way I'll go back to Firefox, I love Chrome too much!
There are a few sites - fewer and fewer for each update - that Chrome have problems with, but Renderosity isn't one of them. This is posted from Chrome as are all my other posts for .. well .. ages.
Sometimes I miss the adblocker but that isn't enough to make me abandon Chrome. It's a lot faster than any other browser I've tried and I love that I can search from the address field directly.

lucky? Why aren't my posts appearing? Does Renderosity have a problem with Google Chrome? I could only post this from IE.
