I might have missed this information on the dwnload site. Sorry if i have. Are there restrictions when it come to displaying work done in Vue 7 Personal Learing Edition? Other than the comercial?

You can post renders all you want.

The PLE is for personal, non-commercial use only, files cannot be exchanged with other PLE users and are not compatible with other versions of Vue, network rendering is disabled, renders may be watermarked and carry a logo.

Vue runs just fine on an old P4 with 2GB RAM, ATI 512MB AGP video, and WinXP 32-bit.  All bets are off though if you're importing objects that include lots of huge texture maps.  64-bit would be needed for that.  But the same is true for any 32-bit 3D app.

Let's see, 16... times 25 cents...  32 bits.

I have done that in Bryce and know how hard that can be on a poor machine. lol. thanx for your replies. 'll install when i get home tomorrow. I expect the learning curve to be quite bad, but that's sort of part of the fun.

If you can understand the Bryce GUI, then Vue's GUI is a cake walk.  It comes with a good manual.  And what else... both Bryce and Vue seem to have confusing material editors compared to modo's and Carrara's material editors.
