looks much more like a flying crane than a cargo ship. And its a much cooler use for it.

I don't get it.

I mean it looks cool and has lots of neat moving parts..... but what does it do?..... what is its function?

I don't see any cargo hold, nor lifting devices, nor weapons.

I'm with you on this one Tyger. Nice and grungy but seriously lacks any visible practical functions other than looking like a cool grungy (space?) vehicle. I mean look at the lifter blades. Those are aircraft blades, what would a space vehicle be doing with those?
