I welcome all comments.

If any of you has such a helmet, please measure its front window Inside and outside the windowframe) and tell me its measurements.

rough gess on  old style helmet is 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches but most welding hoods  now are large faceplate  5x7 inches and electronly powered to darkrn when arc is struck

BTW this is the standard cloth cap worn under it. The canvas protective suit is heavy yellow ochre denim canvas. Gloves leather of course... a strange yellow color like British sponge taffee.

in Momodot's version, is the flip-window arc-welding-dark and the fixed window clear, or what?

Your guess is correct. The flipup holds the dark glass, and the fixed window is clear.

You might get some measurements off a reference point in this photo... This is an art student. She is not wearing regulation safety clothing AT ALL!

I have uploaded my arc-welding helmet model.

Note that arc-welding eye protection must be much darker then blowtorch eye protection.
