I'd like to texture this model with a wood surface or make each piece as an individual. #1 I've never use texture before, no idea how to get it to look like lapstraking. #2 I can't seem to get the materials to run the length of the boat.

their are several presets available that could work well, I have photo real textures on my siet-Chemical Studios-under resources on the sidebar, and Tony Lynch has alot of beuatiful wood textures available in the Brce Freestuff section. If this is a 3D mesh that you have imported, you might consider converting it to .obj(if its not already) and running it through the freeware UVMapper by Steve Cox and generating a template for it that you can simply paint/paste your boat texture to that will wrap around the mesh. But if you use regular bryce textures, you can adjust the direction the texture covers the boat in the materials lab. Ken
