Just seen on E-on that Vue 8 Infinite is now selling, need to wait a couple of days for Complete though.

How does it work with the maintenance purchase to get Vue 8 Infinite then?
Some of us took that option to get a free upgrade from 7.5 but I don't see an option for that!
Can't find any info at e-on, do they send a link for it or what, any ideas anyone??

I am not too sure mate sorry.

Must admit, I know Complete isn't out for a couple of days, would have liked to see a comparison chart now, to take a look at what I will/wont be getting.

You should get an email and the order will be added to your account on the e-on website. At least thats what happened with 7.5 and the 8 pre-release.
I have not gotten the email for the 8 final release yet, but I would guess that it will come tonight.

They sold out already of their Vue 8 INF shipment DVDs and printed manuals.  Or they haven't produced them yet.  Hmmm......  A friend tried just now to order from e-on directly.  Do the VAR resellers have them in stock?

I have just received an e-mail with a download link to my free Vue 8 upgrade, and a serial number for it.

Download... installed... not impressed.

E-on seriously need to slow down and stop being greedy here. I understand that they have to make a profit, but ever since these maintenance plans were introduced they are now on a clock to push forward with new versions, but they are pushing a head too fast and leaving a bloody mess of bugs behind them that they don't even have time to fix.

Things have are seriously going down hill here as far as quality goes.

I don't know what problems Tubbritt encountered, but I have been using the pre-release of Vue 8 Infinite for the past month and have not encountered any significant problems, beyond a couple of out of memory crashes on my 32 bit system (no problem on 64bit) and some minor things that got resolved in updates.

For me is in amazing update and rock solid (running on PC in 32 bit XP and 64bit VISTA. You can see several Vue8 renders in my gallery.

Don't mind me, I'm just disappointed because every bug I knew about in version 7.4 still remains in 8.0. I'm going to be very positive though and enjoy this release for all it's worth, so ignore me.

Hi James,

There was no criticism implied in my reply and I don't see any reason to ignore you. I am well aware that there are some issues that are system dependent (so I might just be lucky) and other problems that are a red flag for some but are a non-issue to others. So I was merely curious what problems you had run into.
Taking a positive approach is good. I think that this version is quite nice and added several features that I wanted for some time (rigging!).

What bugs exactly?  Are these left-overs from previous Vue releases or brand new?  I haven't seen many complaints here about version 8 since its pre-release.

Sure no worries, what I said was only a figure of speech. It's an  “Irish” thing we say which can mean ... “no worries, everything will be fine”.

Sort of an always look on the brighter side of life kind of thing.

I'm very happy with my purchase regardless of what bugs remain and I'm confident that I will get a lot more from this version than any previous version. Like you, it has many features I wanted for a long time too, so.... yeah, everything's cool.
