Subject: Poser 7 - Corrupted?

BladedSoul ( ) posted Thu, 12 November 2009 at 4:22 AM · edited Wed, 01 January 2025 at 9:12 AM

I'm having some problems with Poser 7 at the moment which, I'm sure everyone can agree, is annoying.

After recently taking a break, I'm trying to go back into Poser. I want to relaunch it by doing an edit on an old image that was potentially very good, but had a couple of mistakes which ruined it.

However, whenever I try to open a saved Poser 7 file, the program always closes and crashes. I have tried reinstalling, but it fails.

I also cannot remove Poser 7 from my pc via an uninstallation, because it is not in the add/remove programs and I doesn't have an uninstaller.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible the saved file was corrupted?

It does this with all save files. If i go into Poser 7 and immediately saved it, it will never open again.

Hi.
Find the saved file on your computer.
Then look if there is another file with the same name as your file and extention PMD in the same folder.
Remove it (file.PMD) if it is there.
Now you can try to open your scene in Poser.
If you succeed - go to GENERAL PREFERENCES - MISC and uncheck USE EXTERNAL BINARY MORPH TARGETS.

It worked! Thank you so much!
