Subject: Need help with M4/M3 clothing

I've got a problem that you folks could probable easily solve. When the old machine gave up the ghost it was running Metacreations Poser 4.0.3  My new box has Poser7 SR3.  I've purchased V4.2 and it comes with a conversion so I can use my V3 clothes. Great. However I've purchased M4 and I see no such conversion to use my M3 clothing. Is there an easy way to do this or do I have to purchase a new wardrobe? Before you go and say just use my old M3 I can't. No longer have him. I've looked at the Wardrobe Wizard from Phil C but do not see anywhere on the site that it supports M4. Just M3. Same with Crossdresser. I could probably figure out some way to do it in the Cloth Room but I really don't have a good handle on this and the other new features in P7 though. Any ideas?
Thanx a lot for reading this.

Hello.

First up -- most M3 clothing fits M4... pretty good and mostly doable with mnor adjustments for pokethrough (except for things like shoes and socks).

As far as either Wardrobe Wizard or Crossdresser -- they both have M4 plugins that you have to buy seperately. With WW2 -- you have to have both licenses (m3 and M4), while in XD, you only need the one converting to (M4). If you buy Poser 8, it comes with Wardrobe Wizard, but I don't know which licenses/plugins it comes with.

I hope that helps.

What do you mean you no longer have your old M3? If you got it from DAZ you can reset your order and redownload him.
Failing that, go here :)

The M3 and V3 don't come with morphs though.

Thanks. I wasn't about to start installing my M3 stuff if it wasn't going to work. I've got quite a bit.

Thanks again. I looked at the plugin lists for both and didn't see M4 mentioned. As for buying Poser 8 though that isn't gonna happen any time soon. I've spent enough money on the new computer, even though it's a bit behind the curve; and I really haven't got enough of a handle on all the new things that can be done with Poser 7 in comparison to my old Poser 4. I've been lurking in the fourms here for some time trying to learn about dynamics, shaders, and the like. Texturing used to be so much easier.

Thanx again...

Actually, I did that this afternoon but I bought M4 last month with the intention of using him in the new installation. The default Poser 7 people are just as good or better than M3 IMHO and I'm trying to try and keep things a little more up to date. This new (to me) iteration of Poser has a lot more going on than my old Poser 4 so I wasn't entirely sure how wardrobe would work with the older figures. That's why I was wondering if there was an easy way to do the refits.

Thanks for your reply...
