this is probably a stupid question, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to start the batch rendering in Vue 7.  I have added scenes to the list, but I see no "start" or "render" button.  I have looked in the manual and it shows how to load them, but it says nothing about starting them.  It seemed like the manual was alluding to them automatically starting, but they have not.

Menu Render -> Batch Rendering

Click on 'Add current' to add the current scene to the queue. Processing/rendering of the queue starts automatically.

Don't forget that you have first to configure the scene file for batch rendering. Namely, you have to choose the option "render to disk" and you have to define the file where the render will be saved. You also have to choose "external renderer" in the render options. Save the scene file and then you can apply it to the batch rendering engine. I normally save the file, exit Vue, open Vue again, do not load the scene and then open the batch rendering, as Crowning explained, and apply the scene. This way it uses less memory.

Well, yes and no. In fact, if you select the internal renderer the batch render will work as expected but I think it will in fact ignore that instruction and use instead the external renderer. The text in the DOS box clearly states "Standalone renderer" in this situation also.

In fact you don't even need to define the file where the render will be stored either. If you don't do it, Vue will simply use the default location, whatever it is.
