I'm wondering though if it was Vue 6 they used.  Vue 7 would have just come out I think when they filmed.  Terminator 4 used Vue 6 which was filmed around that time.  I'll have to look at the clouds again.  There is a big difference between version 6 and version 7 clouds.

I have a hard time imagining that a James Cameron movie, with an over $200 million budget, used any bought content for Bryce or any other system. Not to demean any particular software, but more in speaking of the thought process of many people involved in such a huge production.

It's not hard to imagine Vue being used, though, as it has already seen its successful use in many of the biggest summer movies of late.

I kid.

Funnily enough I ran a poll on the Vue news blog about this back in September and while it proves nothing lots of people think it looks like Vue was used...

Vue has been often used in major Movie projects during the past years.I simply think it has the same look and feel like the jungle - scenes as "pirats of the caribians" - and there is nothing to it .Nothing that lowers the its quality.

Bryce could be used for somethings some years aog, problem is poor clouds, galcially slow an doutdated renderer, and lack of true HDR, for doing current stuff

then again, Hollywood is so gawd damn CRAP at the moment, original concepts ,backgorunds/mattes etc...so many innovative things could be done that the mind boggles, all ebcause of CGI

in not too distant future I can see Vue doing the awesome battle scene in Dragon Age Origins, nativley inside Vue. But in high detail....
