Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
Lol, PhilC... Well, I'm a distinct newbie, but I'm very much looking forward to the next decade. What a treasure-trove this place is. Poser wouldn't be the same without all your bright, generous minds... thanks to ALL of you!

Seems like I was here, lurking for a year or so before I joined. I know only the sign-up date counts, but my first software was Poser 4 and it was new then. I've grown a lot since then, both as an artist and person.

Is it enough if you FEEL old? L
I'm not one of the members from the last millennium, but close. I think I originally joined around 2000, as ernyoka, then had a break from Poser, forgot my password and re-entered in 2002 as ernyoka1. It's still aeons in Internet Time ^_^ And I still feel like a noob with certain aspects of Poser.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

Well, some of us ARE old...lolol. The fact that we joined in the 90's notwithstanding...hehe. Of course, I speak for myself only ;o). But because I've just gotten out of bed and can hardly walk I'm still so stiff, yet headed right for the computer and this place should tell ya I'm not only old, but a Poser/RO junkie as well...lol.
Hmmm....maybe I need a life? ;o)

Who needs a life if you've got Poser and Rosity? The Great Outdoors™ is wastly overrated! L Especially with the weather we've been having here lately.. all of November has just rained away >_<

They have, but after my few years hiatus from RO (and everywhere else and all things Poser), I was surprised how many of the "old timers" were still here when I got back (including you Sharen) ;o). Somehow I sort of half-expected that the Poser phenomenon would have died down, Vicky would still be at version 3, Daz3D had closed up shop and RO would be a wasteland. I was pleasantly surprised :o).

This is my third incarnation here, although I was absent this last time for some three years. My second incarnation was BabydollTX (signed up May 2002) and as I am now too old to be baby-anything and far from TX I didn't want to revive that account and any associations from my pre-Migal life. If I'd had any recollection of my first account name, that might have been fun to have but no user names/pw combinations I can recall from that time in my life have worked, so I guess I just can't say when I first joined. Unless I misremembered all that stuff. I mean, I'm not getting any younger...
But I did meet my husband in the Poser community, though most of our (now kind of embarrassing) online mating dance happened on PoserPros.
We are back, hiding like a two-headed monster behind the Aanascent name. So... be afraid? Naah. We're just old people who make virtual barbie clothes.
It's fun seeing how many "new" names to us aren't really new at all.

Lets see there were animals 2 by 2 on the Noah's ark....ahh I figured it out...PhilC must have been one of the Party Animals on the ark

I joined around the time I stopped using Webring. Then I joined again later with a different account name. I don't remember what email or name I used back then. I wasn't really into CG rendering back then.

I just realized that this month marks the 11th year that i have been a part of this forum. I joined up way back in the days before it came to be known Renderosity and was the poser forum online. Lots of good memories, lol's, tears of fustration, and the help needed to get past the 3D block causing them, have come from this forum. I'll tell ya, this place has grown from the few hundred or so members way back in the dark ages of poser 3 and 4, and 3DS Max 3.1.
So if there are any more of you "old timers" still out there then say hello, and for the rest of you, thanks for a full decade of help and feedback on my artistic ventures. when i joined i never thought this forum would even still b here. So hats off to the next decade!!!
May this place be as great a help and inspiration to you as it has and will continue to be for me.
