Constructive comments and criticisms welcome (solicited, even). I am aware of the glowing nostril problem, haven't gotten there yet :-) This is all hand-painted from scratch, except for the lash trans, which I haven't gotten to yet, either. Also, she will be in Freestuff when she is finished -- any suggested names for her?

Hmmm... suggestions... First of all I would love to see an antialiased render of her :) She looks great so far, I would lower her eyebrows a bit, looking at the shadows underneath them the eyebrows seem to be a bit too high. Other than that... well, she's beautiful :)

i agree with Eowyn, lower eyebrows, and maybe raise eye lids ? other than that great :>)

re name... Sultress??????

Marlene :)

The eyes are just way too bright. I noticed the same thing in someone else's WIP, and it's also a problem here as well. The whites are... well, too white.

Thank you all, those are the kinds of comments I was hoping for. Here is a revised version. (Unfortunately, I can't name her Marlene -- I work with a woman named Marlene, and she looks NOTHING like this, lol)

how about jennifer. She looks like a jennifer i know.

hankim ( ) posted Tue, 24 July 2001 at 6:17 PM

Hey, "Jennifer" sounds good to me -- pending any other suggestions, Jennifer she is :-)

atthisstage ( ) posted Tue, 24 July 2001 at 6:29 PM

"Jennifer" seems to evoke Wonder Bread and modern suburbia. This chick ain't that. She needs a more exotic name... Naomi. Cristalia. Aramathea. Names with style. Just my $.02.

Point taken. How about Genessee? Interesting Biblical theme you have going there, by the way :-)

Marlena sounds good.

Genessee. Yeah, I like it. Fits well.

Jennifer is from a root meaning "white woman" (Wendy, Guinevere, etc. come from the same root.) This lady should have a mediterranean or hispanic name. Also, if she is wearing that much eye makeup, she is probably wearing a bit of rouge or blush high on her cheeks. Carolly

Sorry to reopen this thread, but she is in the Freestuff now should anyone want her. Thanks to all :-)
