Subject: Vue 4 Patch, is it being released this week?

I was just curious, as I would like to get my Walnut Tree back, along with the other 4 plants that don't seem to work. JAS

I really hope so too... haven't heard anything from e-onsoftware after I sent them two emails asking for the beta.

JAS, did you download the second version of the beta patch? It did the trick with the vegetation quite nicely. If you downloaded the first beta, the second is at the same location. Of course, if you're waiting for the official version, yes that will be along sometime this week -- assuming things go according to the plans we last heard. :)

Hi Varian, I did not download any of the beta patches. I was just going to wait for the official release. Am I correct in that I will have to reinstall the extra vegetation even after I execute the patch file? I thought I saw something to that effect in another posting here. JAS

Hi JAS, The 2nd beta cured the problem I had with the long grass not working, and I did not have to re-install it, or re-enter the ID number :) Cheers

Thanks Cheers!

Yeah, same here. All my plants were working (even the Walnut tree), except my Schefflera. I had also had a problem with the Schefflera in Vue 3.1, but Steve Bell sent me a patch for that, and it worked fine until Vue 4. But the 4.01 beta patch fixed that problem, without re-installing the veggies or serial numbers. Strange... my Walnut worked, others' didn't. my Schefflera didn't work, others' did; My Long Grass worked fine, Cheers's didn't... Vue funny sometime... hee x3, as Tesign would say... ;)

It's just been released! Check above. Steve.

My understanding is that for some reason different plants fail for different people. Some only have one go bad, I was just lucky and got five that didn't work. Varian the got away clean without a scratch! Oh well! Later, JAS

Yeah, Varian always escapes unscathed. Must have good karma or something, LOL!

LOL! Well, I ended up with three different installations of v.4 and I was unscathed for the first two. On the third, my Sonneratia tree decided to play dead, but the patch brought it back. :)
