I have been purchasing from here at Rendo for years..!  Not one issue or problem..  However I have started using PAYPAL for transactions everywhere on the net..

I have bought from Rerderosity for years now, and I have no problems with them. Like NoelCan I use PayPal.

I'm sure there will be disgruntled customers anywhere you go, whether or not that accurately reflects on the business is hard to tell.  As NoelCan claimed, I have also been purchasing from Renderosity for years and have literally spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars here, and I can't think of a single complaint.

Can you be more specific with the "bad things" you have heard about buying here, maybe someone can address those specific concerns?

Einzelganger ( ) posted Tue, 29 December 2009 at 5:23 PM

thanks for the replys

i cant give specific instances, i have only noticed posts over the years in passing, and as i haven't seen anything i wanted until now i didn't take much notice.

No problems here either.  And I've always had very good and very fast customer service when I have had need for help.

Something you should be aware of though.  Your first purchase, regardless whether it's credit card, debit card or paypal)  is subject to manual verification, so your purchase won't be available for download immediately.

It doesn't take them very long though. After that your purchases will be available for download immediately. It's just the first one that takes a few hours to get the links.

Never a single problem in all the time I've bought anything here.  That is to say, if I encountered any sort of problem - perhaps two in all - they were sorted out very quickly.

The store staff here are very, very good.  Most vendors are very approachable and helpful, too.

Very professional here and great customer support. And I've been here since 2001.

I have purchased dozens of items here at R'osity
over the years and never had any problems whatsoever. 😄

I'd give the Marketplace here two thumbs up! :thumbupboth:
I would given it three thumbs up but there's no smiley for that.

Purchased far too much stuff on here... for me the problem never occurred during the transaction: it was explaining the need for more hair or more shoes for V4 to a perplexed spousal unit.
Oh, and I use Paypal... makes it fairly painless... well, mostly.

I had a few problems when I was a newbie, but they were errors on my part, and the staff fixed my screwups for me.

I have never had a problem since.  This is  the grand old dam of 3D vendors;  you don't last this long if you're incompetent or underhanded.

Actually, there is one, but that isn't very family friendly.

I've only had one problem with the market place (stupid amex gift card didn't work even though I registered it) but aside from that nothing notable that I can remember.  As long as I don't use Amex, I don't think it'll deter me from using it again.

I have had only one problem using the Rendo marketplace and I have purchased hundreds of items over the years. My problem is giant, huge and massive,

Every time I go into the marketplace, my credit card screams, "You're destroying, me! Stop feeding you addiction you jerk!" Then after the transaction if a vender sends me a thank you for making the purchase, my credit card stops listening when I read the thank you note aloud to them! Then when I am done reading my credit card screams ay me again, "Don't fall for that trap you idiot. They are just trying to be nice and get you to buy more and destroy me further. Don't you have a heart? Can't you be nice to me at least once?"

My current solution is to put my credit card back in my wallet, and then sit on my wallet to muffle my credit card's screams while I install my new purchases. Makes my 3D-Poser time much more enjoyable! Just be careful your credit card is not too hot at the time you you put it away or it will burn a hole in you pocket!

Others might have better solutions to this on going problem then mine.

Hopes that helps...

gritcher, that is why I use gift cards.  I can give myself a monthly/quarterly/whatever shopping budget that I can't go over.
