I just want to give a big thank you to Sharen. I appreciate all the vendors who provided gratis stuff for the holiday giveaways, but Sharen went absolutely above and beyond in sheer quantity (she supplied seven of the eight models available at the moment), and although I haven't done any renders, she provided most of the stuff I can see myself using.

So although it's not worth much, here's a tip o' the hat to your kindness.

I think she just likes making things ;o). Always generous, ever since she's been here. I remember back in the day when SAMS3D had a website that there was always tons of stuff there free for the taking. Nice stuff too - I remember a sleigh that I'd just adored. In fact, if I remember correctly, I even did some textures for it (tho I can't remember now if the sleigh itself was a freebie...lol) :o).

SAMS3D have always been extremely generous.  They've provided a ton of superb freebies over the years and definitely deserve a lot of recognition and thanks.

And no, it's nowt to do with me.  I believe the name stands for Sharen And Mike but I could be wrong.

Lovely people, extremely talented and generous to a fault.  If we gave out awards in the same way as Hollywood gives out Oscars (hmmm... there's a thought... how about the "Woodie"?  Ahem) they would definitely be in line for a few.

How about a Genderosity award? :)

Well, I'm holding out for the "Woodie".  Yes, I know about the unfortunate sexual connotations.  In fact, I think it adds to it all.  As for the design, I can see the wooden Poser Mannequin standing on a little base.

Just imagine, you could vote to give someone a Woodie.  Now that's not something you see every day.  Probably  :lol:

Hey LaurieA, you did do some textures for the Sleigh, they were nice too.  The Sleigh never made it to the freebies area,because quite frankly, I just don't think it makes the grade anymore....all the sleighs out there are so much nicer, we have retired that model, but yes you did do the textures and they were outstanding.

They're all great models - I've just added the free KCars to my collection - and all greatly appreciated!

I have just had the same thoughts when I saw the x-mas gifts of 2009. Without SAMS3D´s giveaway, it had been a sad holiday this year. When I remember the years ago, so it seems that most vendors have stopped to donate a freebie for x-mas.It´s a pity becours it always was a nice tradition at RenDo the years ago.
So a big thanks to SAMS3D and all vendors which have been so kind to bright up our days and....runtimes ;-)

 SAMS3D is the only individual (or whatever it is since there's two of you L) who has their OWN runtime on my computer. Simply because there's so MUCH great stuff from them! 

So add me to the thanksgiving list!

Just wanted to add a note of thanks to SAM3D for the freebie. I recently used them in a rendering entitled "Changes in Transportation". I especially like the BigWheel. Took me down memory lane when I saw it.  Tweaked the texture a bit so that it would resemble the BigWheel of my youth... :biggrin:
