Oops. Yes, I missed that one out. It's in the list on our website, though... Thanks for the note. Steve.

Alright, Mr. E-on, thanks! :) -Mike

Ummm... but all of a sudden my Schefflera doesn't want to work again. :( It was working fine until this latest patch....

tesign ( ) posted Wed, 25 July 2001 at 3:29 PM

Heee x3!!!...very very funny Mike!....I mean Vue!...why not delete your Schefflera and reinstall just that and patch again. All my vegetables are deliciuosly working :)

SAMS3D ( ) posted Wed, 25 July 2001 at 3:38 PM

Question, if we downloaded the beta patch, should we download the official update also? Sharen

tesign ( ) posted Wed, 25 July 2001 at 3:41 PM

Download the release version and unzip it directed over to your Vue installation folder where the Vue .exe is.

MikeJ ( ) posted Wed, 25 July 2001 at 3:44 PM

That's the thing--- although I still have my Schefflera serial number, along with all the other serial numbers which came in the same email since I bought all those additional veggies the same day, I can't find my original Schefflera zip file! So, how do I re-install? In any event, it should work. Something between the last beta patch and this new one went wrong, because it WAS working.... sigh.... And Sharen, I think the patch is meant to be installed over the beta

MikeJ ( ) posted Wed, 25 July 2001 at 3:48 PM

You know what's so funny though? I don't even like the Schefflera-- it looks like a weed, LOL! But I still want to be able to use it anyway. :)

... that my Vue 4.01 has just given birth to a bouncing baby Schefflera! Seems as though I managed to find the zip file on an old CD I had forgotten about. :)

It does look better than the yucca :)

This is good news I can update mine before playing now. It was shipped yesterday, 3 day shipping so it should be here Friday. Is it just me or has this been a really looong week :)

SAMS3D ( ) posted Wed, 25 July 2001 at 5:34 PM

Tesign, I know how to do it, but thank you, I just was wondering if we already downloaded and installed the beta patch (the second one), should I bother downloading this update? Sharen

MikeJ ( ) posted Wed, 25 July 2001 at 5:40 PM

Sharen, this newest patch is the final version of the Vue 4.01 patch. The previous one was a "beta", and this one is, I guess, a patch to the patch (lol). in any event, it's safe. Unzip it to an empty folder, and then open the folder which was unzipped, then copy/paste it into your main Vue 4 directory. Overwrite all files when asked. It works. :)

tesign ( ) posted Wed, 25 July 2001 at 8:30 PM

Oh Mike....you don't have to cut and paste...just unzip it to that path where you have Vue 4 installed....this mean.

MikeJ ( ) posted Wed, 25 July 2001 at 9:20 PM

Yeah, you're right Bill. But, I've grown so leery of improper directories in ZIP files though, that I always find out what's in them and place them myself, manually. At least THEN I know who to blame if something goes wrong. :)

Hmmm...never thought of that ;~)
