David: I've sent you a morph to hide that extra eyebrow geometry.
Rogerbee1: Personally, I have no plans for an Anthony. Someone made a male morph for Antonia some time ago, but such things tend to be a bit of a stretch. I think Apollo would probably be the closest thing to a male counterpart to Antonia, except that the licensing seems to be quite different, and obviously I wouldn't dare to compare my amateurish efforts to Anton's expertise.

*"I wouldn't dare to compare my amateurish efforts to Anton's expertise."
Yours is no longer an amateurish effort, since you are now the head of an ad-hoc collective. We each of us contribute from our own field of expertise to make this figure fly.

PS: How about reinstating the body handles from the original Antonia. I personally have always liked those kind of things. Also a body handle to open and close both the mouth and the Jaw in tandem would be nice; and also body handles to manipulate the direction and blink of the eyes.

That's a good point.

The handles as they were set up created more problems than they solved, so I decided to throw them out for now. But I'm not ruling out the possibility of bringing them back at some point, properly set up so that they actually do something useful. Wherever possible, I'd prefer props over body parts for handles, though. It's much easier to make changes and play with alternative versions for things that are not part of the base cr2.

I really like Apollo and haven't really done that much with him, in standard form he looks a bit of a bruiser, but I'm sure that can be remedied with a body morph dial. I do see what you mean about him being Antonia's counterpart. Don't put yourself down either, you're accomplishing way more than a good deal of us could. I wouldn't even know where to start if I had to create a figure completely from scratch.
I'm not sure about handles, particularly as they'd probably require a .pz2 to turn them off before you render the figure. There have been certain ones in the past where you've had to do that. I'd rather just do it with morph dials.

Ah, the brows look much better now.
The toecaps were born from a suggestion that bagginsbill made a while back and that I later found out I had completely misunderstood. The idea is to use them for second-skin stockings: up on the leg, you just change the material properties for the skin, but where the toes are, you have some extra geometry so that you can have the stocking material on the toecaps and normal skin material on the toes.
The invisible material is there for technical reasons. By making the toecaps a bit larger and hiding the ends it was easier for me to match the vertex positions and normals for toecaps and feet and maintain that between the low-res and high-res versions of Antonia.
If you want to map the toecaps, the main thing to remember is that the toecap UVs should match those on the feet along the first two rows of polygons. But since V3, and thus V3 textures, have no toecaps, I guess you might just as well leave them unmapped.
If I were to start again, I wouldn't include the brows and toecaps in the mesh. They complicate things without providing any value (as yet). Like the handles, they are typical examples of premature features. But to remove them now would cause just as much trouble, so I keep them and hope that some day they'll actually be used by someone.
-- I'm not mad at you, just Westphalian.
Which is why you live and learn. You learn by practice and by doing. And for those who'd criticise the effort, let them put thier money where their mouth is!
I'm trying to match up the Toe Caps with the feet so as bot textures in 2nd skins can make use of this feature, and thus make it a worth while part of the mesh, instead of just a mistake. Also, put a wood texture on them, and they could pass for clogs!
dph

I learn by finding out how not to do it first and backtracking, or at least that is always how it seems to work out.
Has anyone here done anything with Normal Maps? They only used to be supported in Poser Pro but now they are in Poser 8. The thing is, I can't think of a single figure or texture that actually uses them. Could Antonia be the first?
CHEERS!
Oh, I'm not saying they're a mistake as such. More of a gamble, really. We're making the effort of adding them and trying to make them as usable as possible without knowing if anyone will ever actually take the bait. As you say, it's a learning experience, too, so I don't really regret adding them. I'm just feeling a tiny bit guilty because it means more work for MikeJ and you, as well, although you weren't asked when the decision first was made.
In retrospect, I think a better approach would have been to wait until someone made working second-skin stockings and requested toecaps to go with them, then make them as props first. If those turned out to be hugely popular, that would be the right time to include them into the base figure. And that's the lesson I learned, really - if a new feature is requested, go for a kludge first, and if it turns out that that kludge is used a lot, make it better and eventually integrate it into the main engine. It's how I try to develop software as well: avoid features that won't be used, even if the client specifically asks for them.

That looks great, David.
I think I'll have to release the next version of Antonia with a morph for pulling the outer labia together (what some people call an "innie"), so that people can use V3 textures on her without having to load an extra texture for her privates.

What you mean is a 'Vagia Open and Close' morph. If it close the labia, it should also be capable of doing the reverse.

Well, just closing is a bit easier, because it doesn't matter what's going on inside. But I take your point. While I'm at it, I might as well make sure the morph does a decent job when pulling the bits apart.
(Hehe, I better tick that "language" box now.)

Not regretting my rigging are we? The body handles are experimental. I use them alot, more for manipulating the mesh, and often delete them later. Brad has a gaggle of them , but I'll likely only keep two.
cheers.

I'm absolutely not regretting your rigging. I love it. I've only had to make very few adjustments over time, mostly fine-tuning of joint zones.
The handles are a great idea. I just decided that it would be easier to work on the cr2 with them out of the way for now. I'm not sure if you were reading here all the time, but some problems surfaced recently that I hadn't noticed before. For example, we tried to switch the handles off by replacing the geometry instead of just making them invisible, and that didn't quite work. More importantly, the "drop to floor" functionality can get very confused because it takes the handles into account.
I'm sure there's a way to have handles in the figure while avoiding the problems caused by including the handle geometry directly, but that's a mission for another day. At least as far as I am concerned. I'm hoping once the "official" figure is getting more stable, it will spawn many "experimental" children and I'll be able to include the best features of those in later revisions.

And now I'll be able to use my Forest Folk from V3 texture on her. :)
I'll be sending you and odf a copy of the remapped objeect file shortly. Play around with it will yo while I remap the teeth and gums and innermouth.

I agree odf, they're Auful for being in the way. I recently rigged the eyelids top and bottom on brad with them but had to change them to straight actors cause there was no way to grab them. I love body handles but sometimes they're just impractical.
Looking good DP How do you do that? Do you actually rearrange the UV's or some other way?
Edit: I'm slow. So you do remap the OBJ.
DP, great.
I'll transfer a few more of my V3 textures to the laptop and check them out when I get the new obj. :)
odf, how do I set up the obj in the set-up room for movement/
I tried adding the bones from from the hi-res Toni 118 but it messed the mesh up....sigh.
Let me introduce you to my multiple personalities. :)

Very nice lighting and the hair looks fantastic. My only nitpick would be the nostril glow. Did you use depth-mapped shadows? If so, what is the ray bias and shado map size?
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
Set your shadow Minimum bias on the light's Property Tab to 0.10000000 or less and you'll be fine. that makes the shadows minimum rendering small enough to fit inside the nostril, I guess.

Only one comment on the figure, and it has been mentioned before;
The breasts are 1.5" too high on the chest..
LMAO That is just to dang funny.
If her breast are not where you like them ,there are a few app's out there
TrueSpace,C4D,Zbrush,Max,Lightwave,Maya,XSI,Modo ect ect that you can modify Antonia to your preference or model a original female character.
There are a 100 or 200 3D Artist on the planet that can model a charatcter that reseambles a female.
Maybe 50 of them can do a 1/2 desent looking female.
Maybe 10 of them can model a realistic female as good as Antonia.

No! NOOOOO!!! Don't make me do it, please! I've got enough hardship in my life already...lol. A while back, the ebot wasn't working for this thread and I had to read back over almost 40 pages groan. THAT was a chore...lol.

By the way: that's a really nice render, serene!
I've read them all. It's taken about a month and a half but it was well worth it. I have learned a huge amount about Poser and related programs in doing so. I applaud the work going on here and only hope that some day I will be as goos as the artists participating here.

DPH, my email server is being stupid and won't stay connected long enough to send you my results...sigh.
But here is one image with my FF2V3 (Forest Folk2) texture on Toni.
zoom to see full size image.
No stretching of the cheeks, all eye textures load in well and look good as do the eyelashes on various sets.
If anyone interested in the images of the other textures, I can post a few of those later.

If so this FF2 set has a male texture for M3.

Ta, everybody. And THANK YOU, ODF, for such a marvellous model. I think I've commented before that I hope Antonia will recieve a wardrobe of realistic clothing, and not just dance/club/fetish/beach wear you seem to get for Vickie 4.
I'll learn how to turn her nostrils off eventually, and I'd like to make her smile or smirk. Face morphs anyone?
