can you use a .car file on poser? i believe its meant for Carrara but would love to use it for poser.

Poser has no direct support for that format.  You'd need to convert it to something more compatible first.

ok what would i need to convert it, what program, a free program would be nice if one is out there somewhere.

cn you say what the thing is you want converted . I have Carrara and could maybe do it. of you simply want an object out of the scene.  Use a pm if you prefer. There may be a Carara demo you could download .

April 2009 edition of Digital Arts Magazine had a free copy of Carrara 6 Pro if you can find an issue somewhere with the CD.
