Subject: Ground Shadow

Need help. When I render the final image in P3 or P4, there is no ground shadow. This happens even with cast shadow selected in the render option. Does the cast shadows only refer to lights that produces shadows on the figure itself but not on the ground. I have selected black for shadows and white for both ground and background. Thanks in advance. Bill

Thanks Allerieirauh. It never occur to me that the ground shadow was just a guide. Yes, I do get shadows on figure's arm and body. Thanks again and I go do the ground plane as advised. Bill
