This 22 minute long video will better introduce you to the technology behind Motion Capture than anything else I have yet seen. Similar equipment was used on Beowulf, A Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland, TinTin, Mars Needs Moms and coming up, Yellow Submarine, Battle Angel and Real Steel.

For the HD versions, scroll down to the last entry entitled "Creating the World of Pandora", click the HD button and choose what resolution you want.

Btw, the 1080HD version is beautiful but it's also 1.53Gb

HD versions requires Quicktime.

hey..thanks for the heads up..
btw.. why is it I can't seem to download the hd bit? My broadband is a happy mess.. seems my connection is old.. 128 kbps.. normally runs at 100 kbps..they've upped it to 3 mbps.. but that happens next month..

My internet goes from 5,000kbs to 15,000kbps and it still quite a while to download the HD version, lol. After the initial interest dies down, it will be easier to download it as I bet millions of people were trying to watch that thing all at the same time, lol.

EXACTLY, lol...

I did make sure to wander blatantly on-camera during A Christmas Carol when behind the scenes was filming right when Jim Carey wrapped.

And...on Mars Needs Moms, they did do a quick interview with me, asking me what my job was, etc. So hopefully they will end up using it!  ;o)
