Subject: contacting Jan19

GrandmaT ( ) posted Mon, 25 January 2010 at 2:34 PM · edited Mon, 23 December 2024 at 7:54 AM

I'm trying to find a dress made by Jan19.  It's called "Anne Boleyn's Closet" or Queen Anne's Closet".  I found some textures made by Chohole on ShareCG that look great, but the link to a Renderosity page didn't have that dress listed.  I've tried with no luck to find a contact address for Jan19.  She only lists "Jan" on all her readmes.  Can someone give me an email address Jan or link for the dress in question?  Thanks

Thank you both.  I didn't even know Freepozitory existed.  and the link to the dress was great.  I searched the Sharecg site every way from Sunday and never got a hit for Jan or the dress.

Thanks again!!!

Hey,

Looks like I'll have to start putting a bit more information in my Read Me files!  :-)

I'm sorry, GrandmaT.  But I'm glad you found that dress and I hope you like it.

At ShareCg, my name is Jan019.  Someone had already taken Jan19, so I just added the 0.  If you ever do another search, try Jan019.  You'll get spinoff hits but eventually you'll find me.  ;-)

Hey Jo!  Thanks for all your help!!!  :-)  That was very cool.

And seach...thank you, too.  :-)  Say hi to me sometime at DAZ.

Last note...I've got a new freebie coming out soon.  I was trying to wait until the new H. Mann hair came out and use it in the promo images (I heard there was a new hair coming) but I'm getting impatient and I may release my freebie after the texturing is done.  This one is not really historical.  And it's simple because I'm just learning to use OKCRandy's starter mesh as 'roots' for my garments.  I like that because it's really UV Mapped well.  Didn't want to try anything too elaborate until I learned to use the starter mesh properly.

But I'll bookmark this thread and when I release the new freebie, I'll make a post.  :-)

And James, thank you for letting me know about this!!!

You all have a great night!

Jan

I love me some Modo!  :-)

Hm, the search engine from shareCG is tricky. With Jan, Jan 19 or even Jan019 I got no real hit ... so I did it with Glimmer ... everytime good to know a alternative ... :-)
But I think anne's or closet would also produce hits.

Wow, a new outfit ... for Vicky or for her hubby .. I have long nothing seen from you. Think, you did some chapters of your new book, right ?

I have also something new in the pipeline ... ok, thinking pipeline for now, let's call it preproductive phase ... :-)

See you ... ah, and a bit late, a happy new year ... :-))

Hey, Jo!  I've missed talking to you.

Yes, I've been quiet for awhile.  Family junk...life should not interfere with modeling.  :-)))  But sometimes it does...sigh.

Yes, I've got a new thing for Vicky almost done.  All I lack is the texturing...well, I've got to re-map some sleeves then reconform them but that won't take long, I don't think.  But I want these maps to be perfect.

Happy New Year to you, too!  So you've got something new going, too, huh?  Can't wait to see it.

Yes, I was re-writing a manuscript but I had to put that on hold, too.  Whew...too much stuff and too little time to do it.

Oh, I had a car wreck, too.  Dogs ran out in front of me and I couldn't stop in time.  Did 1500 dollars worth of damage to the car.  But it's fixed and I'm gonna sell it.  It's my daughter's old car and I'm sick of it.  It's an insurance hog and goes too fast.  So as soon as I can get a duplicate title (lost the old one), bye bye Eclipse!  :-)

Anyhow, great to hear from you and I'll post a note when the new thingie is released.  I'm hoping they'll host it here.  I like for my free stuff to be here, if possible.  :-)

See ya!

Hey Jan,

Huh, a car wreck ... not very well but if only car damage then you are a lucky and healthy one ...

I was and I am busy with runtime sorting and arranging ... so much stuff unpacked on the disk, mostly freestuff ...
But resorting that stuff is nearly like car damage but without insurance ... :-( and so time consuming.

New stuff ... I'm not sure what to do first ... a little bit of SciFi outfit (a duty uniform plus something for the after work party) plus the correct environment. Have to dive into some displacement mapping for this to be not to polygon intensive.
... or otherwise something from 60ths shows as also a movie ... hm, also with a small touch of scifi ...
We will see the next day's ... plan is to have something out until end of february ...

See ya too!

Jo

Finally!  :-)  I get a minute to breathe.  I've been working like a dog on the latest free stuff item.  It got accepted!

It's in Jan19's Free Stuff Section.  I can't come up with a link except to the details.  Can I provide that legally here?

http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=59138

If that's not acceptable, please someone remove.  :-)

Yes, Jo, car damage was to the tune of 1500 dollars!  But it's fixed now and I'm gonna sell the cursed thing.  It's jinxed.  Wow, what a story about the repairing.  Thought I'd never get it back from the repairman.

But all's well and I can concentrate on honing my modeling skills.  Can't wait to see what you come up with next!  End of February.  Not that long.  :-)

Good to see you again...sorry for late reply...life stuff and freebie kept me chained.

All the best,

Jan

I love me some Modo!  :-)

Hi Jan,

I've seen and downloaded the dress ... looking very versatile and pretty ...
And it seem one have not to use too much button ... huh, some are nice but from top to bottom isn't so much my way ... :-)) more a fan from lace and bows ...

Yes, that SciFi thingy will be the next. A room with 3,5 dresses around, for work and leisure ... :-)

But will need some 2-3 day's until starting this. I have installed some V4 stuff to the wrong sub categorie in my runtime system and now have too much search trouble. So this need's to be corrected first ...

B.t.w. how did you rigg the dress. Is it from the presetted kit ? Only ask cause I saw the IK chain in the skirt where no actors for this are in. Ha, sorry, but you know with IK I'm a bit picky. Before that is becoming the next PITA I have to kill it first ... :-))

Ah and no fear about posting the link ... it's a rendo link, that's everytime ok ... :-)

See you
Jo
