Assuming your textures are in a named folder in the pose library for you...here is an expample using your name:Making your folder as follows:

If using WinXP or Vista and do not want to use WinZip you can do similar by creating a new compressed folder and dragging the Runtime folder into it.
Guys, I think the OP question ... has nothing to do with zips. OP wants to know how to make mat-poses.

Yes it mentions zips, but that's an irrelevency. I bet the OP doesn't have anything in the Pose folder because Poser doesn't give us a built-in way to do it.
Personally, I like Ky's answer - which is basically "we won't tell you because you shouldn't be doing that." LOL

Of course using only materials or material collections allows for no DAZ Studio (D|S) compatibility.
The best solution for D|S compatibility is to make material collections and matching D|S surface files. However, you can make MAT Pose the will allow some of the material setting to be applied in D|S.

okay Fella's and ladies let me try to clear this up, I know how to create the zip and put the correct items in to correct folders....
what I want to know how to do is to make my stuff work like the stuff I DL from the wonderful creators here where even if it is just a new set of textures that when it is unzipped to poser the User will find the textures as I guess an "injectable" item.
Example I made a new set of textures for an item of clothing say I called the textures Black and red pants, black and red shirt, and black and red shoes. they are all saved as .jpg so I know that all those textures will be in Runtime/textures/Xen0phage24601 but if I just zip it like that the person will have to load the clothing on to there character go in to the materials room click on it hunt down the folder in there textures and add them on there own.
What I want is that when they unzip it in to poser they can load the clothing then go to Pose>Xen0phage24601>Red and black shirt, and it will apply said texture.
if there is a program I need let me know but I know it CAN be done cause most every texture pack I have ever bought from here or DAZ does this.
Also for those who tried to tell me how to do it in Daz studio, I am using poser so please, other then silly zip tutorials and telling me to not do something that seems common practice can some one actually tell me how to do it?
...or maybe I could just contact a content provider...yea...I am sure they would know how... thanks all

Ok I use this when I make MAT poses, thought it was MAT Pose Creator but it is MAT Pose Edit. LOL I just got up.

But like I said in my original post just save from the material room into the material folder and it is just so simple. LOL
To make a mat pose
save a material collection
rename the file from an mc6 to an pz2 file
move it and its thumbnail to the POSES folder (make a sunfolder for it )
open the file in wordpad and change the line mtlcollection to figure
save the new Mat Pose and test
a mat pose wont ork on a prop unless certain conditions are met , but they work on figures
for a prop use actor $CURRENT and make sure its selected before applying the mat pose
No need for mat pose writers in Poser 7 or 8 , dunno about 6
If you copy the mc6 first you will have both the material collection for poser and a mat pose for Daz studio. A material collection WILL apply to a prop, so they are the better option to use .

I'm sorry you misunderstood me. MAT Poses are for Poser but unlike Materials and Material Collections they will also work with DAZ Studio to a degree. The tutorial I linked to shows how to make Materials, Material Collections and MAT Poses. But it sounds like you did look at it.
Eh. Mac's are a little more flexible. The main Poser-related thing that doesn't work right is Python; too many Python items use a library that was never properly ported to the Mac. Fortunately you can write a Python script without it (see PhilC's stuff) but few developers do.
Most Mac users are quite capable of dealing with manual install (there's a couple of nice third-party installers), and strange file type rarely croggle the experienced user.
Most of the trouble I've seen is going the other way.
By the by, to the OP, the method I described is the Power User method. It allows you to do tricks most of the third-party aps won't....MAT-DIV poses, for instance, or HIDE/UNHIDE poses.

okay so I know how to set up the folders for Runtime blah blah blah...but is there special way to export my textures so that when some one unzips them they pop in on the pose folder for easy use? cause I cannot figure it out. (for those that frequent daz, yes I have quiried there but what they said was for daz studio and I use poser)
