Forum Coordinators: RedPhantom
Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
If, by online, you mean does it have to be connected to the Internet, or any network, the answer is no, absolutely not.
If, however, by online you mean you must have your communication stack enabled, then yes.
If you let a firewal prevent Poser from using TCP services, then parts of it can't talk to other parts.
There is a wide misconception that Internet = any communication. Poser talks to itself using the loopback internal TCP facility.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Wondering because I just purchased it. First startup the content palettes were there. Deleted default character and it all disappeared. Installed the updates and now gives an http error if computer is offline but palettes and libraries are there and usable when online.
WHAT?
Have been using Poser 6 until now. Any help appreciated.
