Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 27 5:12 pm)
It looks absolutely great, the motion capture sequences makes the characters really come to life and the addition of music helps to create the mood for the scenes. The story is also getting interesting, unfortunately we have to wait a while to see what will happen.
Looking forward to the next installment

Why do I forsee some....dismay....when Ensign Carpenter finds out from Captain Carpenter exactly what happened to =her= family....?
Nice turning of the screws, Tim....... >8)=
And you were so right about the extra panache that the mocap added. Optitrack moves yet higher on the must have list..... :/
For some reason, I think that there's going to be some kind of romance between Randy and Cara.

STOP PALESTINIAN CHILD ABUSE!!!! ISLAMIC HATRED OF JEWS
Thanks for the heads-up on this, and for the higher-res downloads of the earlier episodes. It's really progressing well and the motion capture adds an extra dimension - the look of this episode reminded me a bit at the beginning of the "New Captain Scarlet" series, if you've seen that.
And it wouldn't be a Trek episode without a piece of technobabble, as TheOwl has already mentioned...
Tim sets the standard of Poser animations with his "Aurora".
I've re-downloaded all parts including the new part 4 and re-watched it through.
This is truly a work of art with story telling and animation of the highest standard that sets the bench mark for other Poser animators to aim for.
I can only hope that all budding Poser animators will study this production ....there is so much to learn from this film.
Great work Tim.
Best
Dave

Just a quick note to let anyone interested know that Part 4 of Star Trek: Aurora is now online.Part 4 has extensive use of a motion capture system for the movements, but is otherwise largely edited/animated Poser; rendered in Cinema 4D. (Parts 1-3 were animated mostly by hand in Poser.) I outline my current workflow on the Production page of my site.
(Anyone familiar with Aurora might consider checking out parts 1-3 again as there have been a few changes, most notably the addition of music.)
